About 15 seconds before Tom’s picture of babbling Brook was revealed Tom realized exactly what happened and the fact he was able to keep from bursting into laughter is impressive

Much like Pete, I had no idea what "papoose" meant, so I looked it up on Wikipedia. Here is the very first sentence: "Papoose (from the Algonquian papoose, meaning "child") is an American English word whose present meaning is "a Native American child" (regardless of tribe) or, even more generally, any child, usually used as a term of endearment, often in the context of the child's mother. " Pete nailed it.
@unexpected24752 жыл бұрын
Another meaning (I believe the original intent) is essentially a little basket to carry a baby in. So, Janet Jackson's tit became a baby-holder became just a kid.
@bandotaku Жыл бұрын
Well, yes and no. In American English, it's an extremely offensive word for a native American child. In British English, it's a common word for a baby carrier, specifically the type that is a cloth wrapped around the baby to be held in front of the mother's torso.

Think Telestrations would benefit from a small scoring tweak: points should be scored if you can reproduce what you've read and communicate it to the next person. If it started out rock & roll and you get double doughnuts, obviously it's not going back to rock & roll... but there should be some reward for successfully conveying double doughnuts! That would make the scoring more interesting, too, because right now once it goes off the rails, it's gone. We know, sometimes from the very first drawing, that no points will be scored, regardless of what the rest have done. But if people could still score points, if it were still possible, there'd be that much more investment for both the players and viewers.
@LifeUntilLove3 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. If one person does a bad drawing or misunderstands the idea, the rest of the round is out for points. Like, having everyone consistently get Alien Abduction but it not being worth any points since it isn't UFO is a bit of a bummer.
@swmabie3 жыл бұрын
I finally got around to looking up the rules for Telestrations, & that's how the actual "competitive scoring" is supposed to be. You get a point for guessing the original word/phrase *or* the guess that lead to that picture (which also would get a point). So there should be a lot more scoring going on, in theory.
