If you're running short on mandate time in the colonial era or you just want to hang around and unlock everything before moving on, you can demolish the buildings the Crown wants you to build after building them and they will ask you to build it again. A bit exploity, but a useful thing to know.

quill should force himself to finish the tech for the current era before moving forward to help prevent himself from rushing forward all the time.

I will admit that quill's far more experienced at this game than I am, but I really feel like he is either forgetting about or really undervaluing the multi-culture mode for plantations. Sure, you lose some efficiency, but you can make it back by diversifying. And think about it, if you put a core of other plantations and then surround them with the plantations that you actually want, you will be able to keep most of the efficiency (toss in a cattle ranch, maybe). I keep seeing him just scroll through farms that have great areas right next to each other, and it bugs me. No idea if/ how he's going to see this, but he has to remember that his plantations will get worse over time, if he continues like this! (yes, he can fix it in modern era, but that's a ways off!)

I guess it depends on how each of us plays. lol he drives me crazy with his find a space stick it there with little to no aethestics. It seems to me that he just plays it as he will, having fun going after each crisis as it comes, not worrying about making the most efficient, good looking map he can. Still, putting a Embassy beside a tannery (smelly) and across from your commando garrison...lol definitely makes me want to play the game if only to plan the islands out to make a little sense!

Thing to note for health care happiness. If you have a chapel you can switch it to a mode for at the cost of effectiveness it will treat broke citizens illnesses.

Wait, there are other housing options besides Shags, Bunks and Apartments ?!? … this makes me suspect there might be a specific reason why Quill has a hard time fulfilling Housing needs ;) ;) … maybe throw a lil looksee on the population build-up every now and then.

Are there no garages in this game? I can't see Quill build any of them and they where really important in past Tropicos...

@@annihalited idk, I assume the more people that have cars, the more important they become. Since most of Quill's people are poor (I think) the don't have cars yet and so they are less important. (FYI I cold be completely wrong)
