Bill; If you can find 3" square Aircone plastic pots.. they make ideal 'starter' pots. Just the right size & with the hollow cone in the center allows plenty of air circulation.

Wonderful! How did your hoya cuttings do? were they tip cuttings or node cuttings? i found that my tip cuttings root and take off quickly... but the node cuttings would root and stall for a long time.

That reptile bark is also sold at pet stores like petsmart & petco. I also seen it on the pet aisle at Walmart. Forgot the prices though.

Try using vinegar with your filter. I poor it in the water
