I was in deppression for the last 3 years and last year I found out that I suffered from anxiety. I wanted, and tried, to take my life so many times. the day you uploaded this video, even though I don't use my phone too much, I gave it a watch. was feeling a little down and thought you would be good for me. in the part where you point out to the fact that our feelings are the middleman, I gave my feelings a listen and finally got over my inferiority complex. ever since watching this video, I have started to love myself and really care about myself. I feel as if there is so much to live for. you opened my eyes to see that the life I have been living, with all of its ups and downs, is a great life. hopefully you can understand that you are the reason I got over my depression and how much it means to me. really glad you exist. take care.

Oh my God 🥺🥺 I m so glad you felt better. You deserve to be here. The way I see it to value everyone of us to be here is like that: we are all a special library of content. With feelings, stories, background and knowledge that no other have experience d. When we're gone, it's an entire little library that is leaving too. What I mean is. We are all valuable and needed somehow. 💫

Thanks, man. Here’s my immediate thoughts after watching this: “This guy is excellent. I already feel noticeably less down, frustrated, exhausted and lonely. The content of what he’s saying seems correct but what’s making it cut through the most is his honesty. He doesn’t seem to have any other motive than to help. He is genuine. So genuine that, even though he’s essentially a stranger I’ve never met, I will feel guilty if I don’t take his advice. He’s been vulnerable enough to not hide behind ads and product placement and say that he’s just hoping I listen and think about what he’s saying.” So I’m genuinely going to stop scrolling for while. Thank you Lewis. Enjoy your week, mate 🙂👍🏻🤜🏻🤛🏻

I paused to let out a few good sobs when you gave that “future you's video” thought experiment. I have been running from my emotions at Mach 10 for so long, and that single line had brought my movement to a halt and gave each of my feelings a baseball bat. But I needed that. Thank you for being the content creator I always wanted on this site. It's a blessing having your ideas and inspiration liven up my days.

TLDR: I am so glad to not be the only person who talks to themselves in this manner. When you talked about loneliness depression fear and anxiety popping up to chime in, you basically described the council of voice I have in my head too and boy howdy did I feel seen ❤️. Thank you so much for sharing, Lewis. I’m making better friends with them. They’re not demons, they’re traumatized pieces of me. They really don’t mean me harm; they’re just trying to take care of me the best way they know how. Sometimes they just don’t realize their tactics have the opposite effect of what they intend. But we’re all in this together, me and my parts, and I am sure we will heal.

There comes a point where you have to stop listening to these influencers that are making a lot of money from talking nonsense, and learn to think for yourself. Constantly looking at a screen has made that harder. I worry that one day there won’t be a choice and we’ll never be able to think for ourselves.

Your approach to emotions as messengers, not enemies, is powerful, especially when you bring loneliness and fear to life with humor and empathy. You’ve made space for people to feel seen and understood, reminding them to value their own needs over mindless scrolling. It’s rare to find content that feels both kind and transformative. I’m having a hard time hearing the messages of my loneliness and depression. I want meaning and connectedness and intimacy and trust, but I feel isolated and don’t know how to get there. Also, don’t really know what to do with my time in my loneliness and sadness and grief. So I’ve just mindlessly watching content day in and day out while I lay under a blanket. I’m afraid of more emotional pain, so I’m not moving. I guess I can start small. I don’t need to overhaul my life all at once. I can just start with going for a walk today. Thanks for the message.

Looking at recommended videos after the video is over, I have 5 "educational" videos, 3 "analytical" videos, 3 "parasocial" videos, and 1 "entertainment" video. I do know I need to fill a base need to be constantly engaged, but also have a constant stream of incoming social, I enjoy being _around_ people, even if I'm not interacting, like a low level "must consume." One question I have is what do you do when almost all social activity gets pushed online? With the loss of 3rd spaces, and people being more distant, it's hard to connect with people in the real world
