Awesome series, mate. Since you're planning on running some serious night ops in enemy territory, may I recommend getting a few Hiver recruits (princes and worker drones make excellent thieves and crossbowmen... er, crossbowbugs; besides they have some crazy RP potential) and a pack Garru (nomads occasionally sell them, you can also buy one or two in Farm Shops up in the United Cities). Holy Farms make for good targets for beginner burglars and you can use your pack beast to haul back accumulated loot to fence it, eg. down in Shek Kingdom. Someone also mentioned that the various minor Holy Mines are good spots for freeing slaves - they are much less guarded than Rebirth from what I have seen. Can't wait to see how your guerilla campaign against those fanatics turns out. Cheers!

Rycon! Great to see another episode! Glad to see you figured out the selling trick, much easier eh? :) Tips 'n comments! 1) Regarding food, one character needs 40 nutrition each day IIRC. Food modifiers, well, modify that obviously haha! So that means e.g. Shek need 50 nutrition each. 2) When committing a crime, play it cool until the timer ticks away. You only got to wait 3 seconds and then they will be none the wiser. When you unlocked those shackles you could've just stayed where you were and you would probably not have been spotten, but since when Sand started moving he moved right next to the (not really) escaping worker who wasn't stealthing which caused guards to look and run towards them and since Sand was right next to that (not-)escapee he was seen as well and got a bounty on his head. 3) Dragging pursuers into other groups is decent, but depends on finding appropriate groups to begin with. A more efficient way is to micro, dragging aggro of slow characters to somebody that is faster (clicking to attack with the faster person and then immediately running them away again) which will provide your slower people an opportunity to hide. It's a continuation of a basic mantra of Kenshi: If you're faster, run. If you're slower, hide. If you're slower and can't hide, distract them until you can hide :P 4) Ooohhh, nice fanart! 5) Hey, nice looking merch. Looking all professional and shit! ...I guess I should buy some. FYI Rycon, Greenlander males, as long as they are not slaves, can walk freely through the gates of Rebirth. You don't need to sneak.

This was a great episode with the new adventures and rescuing slaves from Rebirth. Sand has come a long way since he first ran out of that place, barely able to run fast enough to escape the guards. I hope he's able to rescue some others from there before they give up and go home.

Anyone else think that the Holy Nation slavers at Rebirth moved the slaves to a new location because of Sand and Park breaking out? I know it might just be a random game mechanic, but part of me likes to think that they (Holy Nation) wised up when a few slaves broke free and turned missing. Then after the incident, a few Holy Nation Sentinels talking about how one of their own came in - nearly nude and half mad, yelling about how a pair of unbelievers stole his equipment. Which caused a few laughs, sure, but was brushed off - the mad man as punishment was whipped and the incident forgotten. Until a few more rumors start swirling- Some farms being raided and ransacked near the fertile valley, their people dealing with neumerous thefts and vandalism - missing supplies and food that was dismissed. Then on Prayer Day, a priest was not only insulted but the group he sent to smite the heritics was crushed near Squin. All rumors having three common elements - two men, one a greenlander. The other, a shek. Both former slaves of Rebirth. That when some few get a bit un-nerved, the farmers mostly and a few lower rank soliders. A majority merely scoff for after all, what can two men - two slaves - do against the might of the Holy Nation?

I always use this rule for myself in RP to avoid metagaming: If i think about a smart idea to do, my character might not be experienced enough to prepare for it untill and unless they survive not having it and actively thinking about MISSING it.

If you're looking for slaves to free, you can try to look for holy mines. They tend to be smaller than rebirth and thus have less guards, while still containing slave shacks for potential slave recruits.

Maybe you should have bought leather t-shirts for everyone in the new group, and a very good leg for Ruka, before setting onto this adventure... You had the cats, so being better prepared seems totally reasonable to me. [This was written at the beginning of watching the episode]

@@kyrosv1289 Basically you repair the orange damage, i.e. cutting damage, and then the blunt damage, the grey damage, heals slowly on it's own just like other characters :) I agree with your points there, he could spend some more money on getting better armor/blueprints and a better leg. But it worked out alright in the end.

Tips iv learnt from playing 700+ hours of Kenshi. * Join the Shinobi thieves as soon as possible. They have a tower in most cities that you can rest up in. They offer items at 50% the cost which is handy for early on. They will heal you when injured and help you fight. They sell a small thieves bag that give NO penalties. * Take off your bag when you fight. (unless you used the small thieves bag) * Put food in you bag then drop said bag on the group and bandits won't loot it. * Food placed in your bag will be used by any of you characters around them. *The + and - keys are used to raise and lower builds when you are placing them. This is displayed in the helper text on the screen. * When stealing wait till the 3 second timer disappears before moving around. * Have strength be double the weight of weapon. (10-weight 20-strength) * Use katana's to train dex (the more cutting dmg the more dex xp) * Don't wear heavy armor (or armor that lowers stats) til you have said stats in the 50+. * DON'T use heavy weapons until you have 50+ in both dex and strength at least. * The higher the quality of a weapon the heavier it gets. So untrained characters should be using lower quality weapons (minus katana class as they all are fairly light) * Crossbows are VERY useful against humanoids (Eg. Shek, humans) as when hit they stun them. * Don't use armor that give minus to skills until mid-late (60-70+) game stats. * The higher the skill level the more time it takes to train so use things that lower the skill you want to train. This sounds stupid but the game goes by the skill level of the character after equipment which means a character with Attack 20 with no bonus or negative will gain the sane xp as character with Attack 12+8 bonus. * Don't give higher quality medkits to low medic skills uses. * Buy a small house in a city and build and use a research bench in a city before building a outpost Reason 1 is that you will be defenseless when building your outpost (no walls turrets or guards) which is easy pickings for bandits. Reason 2 is that you will have no real things to build at the start (no even walls) * Build somewhere close to a trading post (waystation) or city. * Robot legs are in general better then normal legs (masterworks are op) The reason why is that scout legs MW -Stealth -8% -Athletics +38% -Swimming -1% and stealth legs MW -Stealth +25% -Athletics +4% -Swimming -25% give big bonus to skills and really only take away from swimming skill (which is kinda useless even at high levels) Arms on the other hand are more pro and cons. Thief arms only come in right arms MW -Lockpicking +25% -Thievery +25% -Dexterity +20% -Swimming -16%

I imagine Sand becoming something of a Spartacus in the series, eventually leading a mass slave revolt or something of the sort, I always look forward to see the story progresses. Also, a couple tips. I saw in one video Park had a decent Martial Arts skill, I'd suggest making him a full martial artist. Early on its difficult to grind out, but their damage output is insane once you reach 30 or so with high strength. I'd also suggest keeping the amount of Shek low in the party, they run through food quickly and aren't good at much besides combat. Hivers are good members to have as they don't consume much food and can eat raw or rotten meat, alongside good stats for support skills in Drones or Princes, though be warned their limbs are toothpicks. Great series my dude, keep it up!

Another excellent episode. Looks like night ops with Sand in Rebirth could take carry-out one at a time with little issue (just free one, then go back if still dark). If food is an issue when those folks are away from the bone dogs they killed could provide you with some meat for a longer stay in the area....

I always use the "Taunt" action with my fastest character at times like 50:00. It draws away the enemies from the weaker characters and allows them to escape. It's a hugely underutilized action in Kenshi, IMO.

this episode is really great. a lot of grinding was done off camera and what we get to see is 100% pure beef. i love the roleplaying, the adventure and the struggle but some of the day to day mining and food preparation and visiting the store and messing with storage and spending time in menus....that is slow. this episode was really exciting and unpredictable.

Dogmeat took out 5 of 13 starving bandits in that one fight - and she's not even an Elder yet. Lack of armor will eventually catch up with her, but she'll always be "a beast" on offense.

I know I'm late, but it seems to me the best strategy would be to have Sand run into Rebirth, free one slave, pick that slave up, and then run back out. He's such a sneaky boy that the extra encumbrance didn't faze him. It'd be a lot safer (and a lot less painful for the slaves involved) just to do that until sunrise. Bunker down until sunset, rinse and repeat. Also, I totally am going to pretend that Sand and his escapades are the reason they don't just leave slaves unattended to out on the posts now in Rebirth. They learned that lesson the hard way.
