Up in eastern Ontario we do have years that harvest is done the following year! Works out fine as the corn drys out over winter! No drying costs! So Duffy no worries!

One thing to consider is if there is a farmer looking for corn silage in your area. You wouldn’t have to worry about drying and harvest cost,possible wet fields or snow and you could get some fall tillage done for next year. They could have it chopped off in a day or two and hope for a better year next year.

@Otherrandomguy4212 минут бұрын
Custom chopping is big investment you need a real good chopper and several trucks and push/pack tractor then you need a few guys working for you to operate as a team

Duffy just look at those ears. Keep the manure moving don't fret the corn. The corn will stand the winter and dry down in the spring. The outside rows fill with snow and slow down deer traffic's price of drying corn wont out way the corn loss and the price may go up win win situation I follow you because i have done the same.Wade

Custom what?😂 You haul manure, and occasionally silage, which is fine, but you're NOT a custom operator. You're half-assing both situations, farming and "custom". Pick one to put more time/money into. Scale back the other to be your hobby.
@Otherrandomguy4214 минут бұрын
If you're hired by someone to do farming operations it's considered custom services. Your jealousy is hilarious.
