Pranam, thank you very much for this and all the other wonderful Raaga exercises. I have naturally felt very much drawn to classical Indian music since my high school days and would like to build on a year-long class on Indian Classical vocal I took with Ustad Aashish Khan (Sarod master) during my college days in the US. I started my self-learning process by picking up songs by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and the likes during my high school years. I was wondering at what age do people usually start to train in Classical Indian music? Thank you very much again.

Hello Guruji Namaste hope you are doing well ! This is very helpful thank you so much ❤ ! I am struggling a bit with a few things !! What is my natural voice ?? Because when I say Så there is some air involved or sometime it's nasal ! I could do different Så or Aa kara but not sure which one I need to practice / which one is right ? Chest voice , Head/belly voice, Throat voice !! Am sorry but too many things in my head please help me with this while I practice this same 😊😊 and last question how to set Tanpura on mobile ? Hello. I recently came across your videos and I practise with you everyday. I am a beginner adult with no experience. I do not have shruthi box or tanpura. I heard we can download app. But not sure which letter to set it to. I tried singing with all letters and they all sound the same to me. Can you suggest an app or make video on how to use it? Thanks for the message! The taanpura app is adjusted to one's singing range. Mostly ladies scale is G#, A or A# and male scale is C, C# or D. I have made all my videos with 'A'. Thanks for the note. You can lower your scale. Also, practice lower notes everyday. It helps to strengthen the muscles around vocal cords which helps to hold the voice for higher notes

Thanks for the message! There can be various reasons why voice doesn't work on the lower notes Try to practice lower notes in the morning when throat muscles are relaxed

Don't feel sad Ranmini. In the beginning it was hard for me as well and I had the same feeling when my guruji was able to go all the way to lower 'sa'. With the practice I could do it. I am sure you can do it too😊😊

yes you can as I am playing taanpura in the recording but it will be best if you also have a taanpura playing next to you so you get familier of the sound of taanpura and starts understanding swaras in the taanpura. All the best! Keep singing😊🎶

Every guru can have their own opinion on this subject. According to me, the musical journey starts from learning the swaras. If one gets the note positioning right then it is time to start learning Raga.
