Oh my this video was packed with so many ideas and beautiful things and lovely thoughts. That you called drying was very helpful. I used to use alum in pickling so I haven't had any for a long time but I will get some the next time I go to the store. I don't have a garden but I do have houseplants that I think I can use to do this and somebody just bought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers and I will try using some of them. I can't thank you enough for your Channel

Judie thank you so much. Oh how interesting, my son Sam ordered the Alum from Amazon he said it is used for a deodorant ?? ( I read you can use lemon too ) ?? Oh yes house plants and you’re lovely bunch of flowers sound perfect, I used flowers from a bunch once when they were all wilted and dried, the colours seem to intensify. Have fun experimenting 💐

Lemon ginger ice cube recipe. 3 cups water 1 squeezed lemon or 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice 1 tablespoon honey 1-2 thumbs peeled and coarse chopped ginger Add all to a blender. Wazz for about 3 mins or until ginger well-broken down. Strain through fine sieve. Pour into ice cube tray. Freeze and use as needed. Once you do it a couple times, you will be able to adjust to suit - ie more ginger, less water, etc. if using fresh lemon, can also include the lemon zest for more brightness. 💕

I have tried it a couple of times and always surprised at the results. Can make for some amazing pages. I am going to have to really stretch my creative muscle when making my granddaughters journal. Her taste is a bit different from mine, but that will be what makes it fun. Glad i have a while to collect stuff before Christmas.....elephants, sloths and cherubs to name a few. Oh so many marvelous shares today! ✨💖🧚Super cute fabric buttons, such a whimsical way to add texture to. a page. Those eco-prints are soooooo stunning! Look at the yellow rose prints! I really want to try my hand at making some of those after being so inspired by your results. And look at Flo with her fairy cake and that outfit!!! She can truly work magic with that paper! (Evelyn Rose what are you doing in the recycles?) Beautiful artwork from Little Pickles, she really captured sweet Freddie with his golden heart full of love. 🐶 And just when I thought it was done in pops Ben and just look at your 3-tiered cookie plates!!! 😍 WOW! That is sooooo cute! Janet you are always working some magic over there, sooooo fabulous!

Amy❤️🌳 thank you for being so encouraging, oh, now the mess begins, Evelyn Rose fluttering over the recycling boxes, flinging things left and right, looking for the perfect little something 🧚‍♀️ we can’t be sure but her and Flo are probably in cahoots. Well I can’t stop I have fabric sandwiches to make ! very whimsical and totally impractical, to quote Ben 😊 Have a fun and creative afternoon and evening 🍄

What a wonderful uplifting mood journal with all of those smiling faces and lovely colors. I really think I must make one of those journals for the days that I'm not feeling so happy for uplifted. Of course your channel always helps me too. I have struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. I am on medication finally at81 that has made a big difference. The other thing that helps number one is my faith and knowing that happiness is a choice that I get to make everyday and every minute if I need to. Blessings to you too Freddy and to Ben. It's been your brother and does he live in another town that you travel the Train on to go see him?

Judie thank you for you’re lovely encouraging words. I have loved smiley faces since the 70’s do you remember the badges and patches for bags and jeans ! Yes I thought the same, just so uplifting to look at a smile, fun to gather and glue. Yes I think the journal will be helpful for those kind of days 😊 Judie I am so pleased you are finding help and comfort in so many ways 🩵🧵

I love the fabric buttons. And would love to make them. I’m curious…. Is there a practical use for them other than a focus for meditation and relaxing.

Thank you so much, they are so relaxing to make. I used one as a brooch, I love to wear brooches. One I used as the door for a birdhouse in my fabric journal and another I used on the front of one of my latest journals. Enjoy creating 🧵

Janet did you do any other slow stitch button videos ? Just that Ben had said you had done some before this video. I love love seeing snippets of your tiered cake plates. Where is that art work displayed now? Still at the same gallery? You’re so clever❤

Hi Janet...great video Thankyou...I’ll have to do some research about eco printing...wonder if i can leave the alum powder out? Loved the buttons too...will make some while I’m watching a movie. Can I ask a question....what was the package you posted off and got back the next day? What was the reason you posted it..? Again Thankyou I watched this while I had my morning cuppa. So relaxing. 💜💜💜💜

Gypsy hi there. The Allum is a mordant and helps the dye adhere to the fibres I believe you can use lemon, it’s always fun to experiment. Oh yes the buttons are so relaxing to make 🧵 enjoy. 🍿 The journal was one I made on a live the other week. I saw someone with a wreck this journal and I thought what fun, I will make my own ! I used Amazon cardboard envelope for the cover and then my painty papers joined with the three hole pamphlet stitch. I thought it would be fun for it to go through the post !

I certainly enjoyed the video. I have lots fabric scraps . May I ask what process you use to cut out your circles? What type fabric is in-between front and back of buttons? I have see you in many live stream chats but this is the first video I have watched oh and the eco dyed papers are very lovely. Love the calming voice and lightning the candle. Very unique. I have subscribed so I will not miss future video. Have a great day.❤

Lisa thank you so much for coming by and for you’re lovely words I do appreciate them ❤️ Oh yes isn’t it great to use our precious little scraps of fabric ! In between the front and back of the button, I use to pad it out, an old fleece jacket, or left over bits of wadding from other projects. Do hope you have a creative week 🪴
