Off topic... I've seen 'Day in the life' videos of a software developer but generally they are pretty vague and more about their actual life, perks and them sitting around eating and getting coffee. I'd love to see you do one giving examples of coding tasks that you are asked to do on a daily. I love your content Dorian. Keep it up, we need this.

You're not the first person to ask this and it's got me thinking about making one. The thing is that I just hate those "dAy iN tHe LiFe oF a DevElopEr" videos. They're so played out and people just make them because they're thirsty for views 😂

Isn't the question at 13:18 (question 13) a trick question? Edit: the one about "block elements can be nested in inline elements" Depending on the version of HTML you're catering to: HTML 5 states that the element "may be wrapped around entire paragraphs, lists, tables, and so forth, even entire sections, so long as there is no interactive content within (e.g. buttons or other links)". HTML 4.01 specifies that elements may only contain inline elements.

The only thing I think these help with are job offers. I passed the C# assessment and I get "early" job offers because of it.

Cool so you've have been contacted for jobs because of a skill assessment. That's good to know because I wasn't sure if it would help.

Hey Dorian, is there a possibility you might do some videos on The Odin Project projects?

I've done a couple where I go through the curriculum here's one for foundations kzbin.info/www/bejne/qp2bnnurnsRoedE also have one for fullstack js and will be releasing one on the Ruby fullstack. Don't think that I'll be doing any where I complete the material just doing these to show people what they have to offer.

About a year ago I had a gnarly beard that I grew for a while. Wife hated it and it made me look old... Thinking about bringing it back one day, maybe grow out the stache!

Question 6 is weird, because answers 1 AND 4 both result in the same thing being displayed. I just tested it in multiple HTML compilers.

Hi Dorian, I wanted your opinion on something. I have a couple of months with programing but Trying to do full-stack development. I can not decide between Spring boot for the back end or express (node). Spring seems to be more on-demand but It would take a while to learn along with java. What do you think?
@DorianDevelops3 жыл бұрын
It really depends on what you've been learning so far. I often recommend node because many people start with JS and I believe it's easier to just continue learning one language when you're first starting out. BUT if java/spring is in really high demand in your area and it's something you really want to focus on, I say learn it because at the end of the day you should focus on what will make you hireable and what you want to work in.
