Am I the only one who can’t stand Fikile and Puleng ? Like Fikile always acts like she’s innocent when she’s not and is just irritating. @Jabarimiles96743 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s fikee’s fault. Let’s just put ourselves in fikele’s shoes. The random girls come to your school writes a horrible article( technically didn’t), caught her snooping in your bag, expose your relationship to the whole world plus fights you almost expelling you. Fikele passed through a lot and now finally when she’s moving on, she rocks her world claiming the people that loved and cared for her could possibly be her kidnappers and all what she knows was a lie( her grandma lied to her too). Causing her to have nightmares and panic attacks Fikele didn’t overreact. Puleng deserves worse. She thinks only for herself and uses people to further her agenda. Taking Tahira’s spot at internship when she doesn’t have a passion for it. Forging a fake birthday to search KBs house and using wade even when he set boundaries. Everything snowballed because of her selfishness.

I like how Fikile wasn't full onto the idea of leaving the people who raised her in the dust and had a realistic connection . Wendy was a bit too good girl for me...Sam and his mom are just so...they're there I guess. Zama and Mark leaving Chris was actually fun. Also in South African schools (well I can only talk about Cape Town public schools,even semi-private schools selling dr-gs is not that uncommon aswell as stabbings,gang connections, like serious criminal activity but you know it's a vibe . 8:19 - I disagree though. They’re highlighting a really important problem that happens a lot in Cape Town high schools. It’s pretty “standardized” in Capetonian schools of children selling drugs (which should never happen)- not necessarily to make ends meet in Reece’s case, but children in South African schools do this in a way that they belong in their peer/societal groups, to relax and blow steam. 14:35- It’s also more “accessible” buying drugs and weed from friends/peers at school than going to a shop and buying weed legally when you’re underage and also buying weed from cbd shops in Cape Town is quite pricey. It’s also quite understandable why her parents jumped to the conclusion of her being in drugs because of what happens at South African schools. At South African schools, they randomly pick people from grades and make them do drug tests at school, taking the “obvious” users and “un- obvious” people to do the test, to see if they could link the children to possible peers who sell drugs/weed. To be honest, this show is more of a South African “love letter” to South Africans than foreigners, because the show highlights a lot of key problems in South Africa and shows how South Africans interact with each other, which foreigners won’t immediately grasp on. The show highlighted the infamous case of a baby being stolen in a South African hospital and being found by her sister years later (which is a true story), in season 1, they showed a student having affair/ being groomed by a highschool teacher- which nodded heads to the infamous Bishops Boy High School scandal and more teacher x student relationships in South Africa, etc

But she's really been dragging him too. He said he didn't want to be friends and that he would help her a bit. She showed signs she might be digging him and he got hopeful, then when she shut him down he separated from her and she came back asking him to help. This happened like 5 times and the biggest example is when he was getting cool with tadisha and didn't want to go fully in with her cos he thought he and Puleng still had a chance. Then he heard Puleng and KB talking about having s3x and decided to finally commit and make a move on tadisha. Then he made a little space between him and Puleng and she once again asked him to help with the investigation. If South African parents are somewhat suspicious that you are using drugs even, if they are 0.000001 percent sure, there is no time for discussions or talking it through. They get you tested and if it is positive they send you to SANCA (rehab centre). This stands true for most South African families. Puleng being Puleng sped up the process of that.

I have procrastinated watching this show for so long. I finally watched the first episode and I was so disappointed. I was really looking forward to a local show I could enjoy. Luckily the second season was already out (and the last episode of season one was intriguing enough) because I doubt I would have come back for season 2 otherwise. Season 2 was so so good from the first minute. I can't remember the last time a show had such a 180 for me. Side note: it was great seeing Gail (Puleng's mom again). She was a contestant on SA Idols in 2011 or 2012 and came in 9th or 10th. I knew she'd gone into acting since, but I don't remember seeing any of her acting work. I was also excited to see Sonia (KB's mom) for reasons someone else already commented on and she hasn't acted in a while (too bad that scene was so cringe). Wade is probably my fav character on the show (not a fan of KB, sorry) that's probably why I didn't mind him and Puleng getting together but I liked them as friends too. Him round-house kicking KB was hilarious and lowkey played into local stereotypes about coloureds.

KB’s music continues to sound terrible and after that diss track I no longer like him but he is v attractive 😭 I hateee how they forced Puleng and Wade together like they are soo much better as friends and I’m upset that Wade and Tahira only lasted like 2 seconds cuz of that. I hope we get more of my fav Zama next season outside of her love life cuz I feel like they started showing her home life in season 1 and just never addressed it again. All in all, this season was off the rails and I absolutely loved it 😂🥰

I can imagine she had a late miscarriage while fikile’s “dad” was away for work. So she probably lied and said she gave birth to the baby after she actually stole one and told him it was theirs

I did not like KB first season...I was childishly rooting for Wade, but now I see ukuthi noo😆😆Wade is Puleng's friend and that should not change. He looked so cute with Tahira, I don't like how they made him "that guy"(deep down he knows that Puleng does not like him that way)🙃🙃

Yeah she made some awful decisions and at the end of this season she is really going to fuck herself into a bigger hole then she already has. I get it's to have a flawed main character but it gets annoying when they continuously make awful and foolish decisions

Ik this might be harsh but I don’t think Wendy deserves better than Chris. She was such a spiteful person in season 1. If they put Wendy together with some sweet golden boy after all of that I would’ve been kinda annoyed. To me her and Chris balanced each other well and I liked their chemistry and banter.
@Tima-oz5te3 жыл бұрын
I agree! I'm glad Wendy grew alot this season too. Chris still has more work to do 🤨
@corimoon33603 жыл бұрын
But Wendy was coming from a real place. She had passion. Chris was just a ride dickhead. Wendy definitely deserves better than Chris. All Chris did was belittle and tease her. Her getting with a good guy or not a good guy but someone better than Chris would have been good. Chris sucks.
@corimoon33603 жыл бұрын
I absolutely HATED Chris this season. I hated him last season too. He’s annoying asf!!! The way he tried too hard to protect Fikile like she a baby or sum. The way he treated Wendy was GROSS! and Wendy definitely deserves better. Their whole eventual romance thing was forced and predictable tbh lol. Reece was also annoying but they gave her a bit of backstory this season and made me feel a little bad for her. I hated her last season but tbh I barely recognized her at first this season because her hair changed lol. She was a little less annoying this season.. a little.

Puleng had some annoying moments, mostly where she used people but I still like her. Her intentions were purer than anyone else’s. She did everything she did for a reason. A good reason at that. I don’t like it when a main character is too perfect.

Puleng's mom thought she was on drugs because Zama unintentionally brushed Puleng's eye during a makeup session. Puleng's eye were red. So her mom concluded that she's on drugs.

I believe that it is mentioned somewhere within the storyline that fiks mom was actually pregnant but then the baby didn't make it and since she wanted a child so badly, she basically got involved in that whole trafficking thing. I hope this makes sense.

To an answer some of your questions (regarding accusing Puleng of drug use), Puleng has AFRICAN PARENTS. it's 0 to 100 real quick, no in-betweens. What they didn't show, was the aunty/uncle Puleng's parent called to complain about, whom then suggested rehab, and they ran with it, lmfaoo. To clarify, NOT ALL African parent's are like that, but some are (if not most). The exaggerations are not too far off.
