Despite advances in medical science, 100% of people still die. A cultural reluctance to discuss death and dying means that many people die unprepared and leave things unsaid. Death as a taboo topic has been contested on a number of levels and Kingston Borough Councillor Sharon Young will talk about the rise in popularity of Death Cafes and the role they play in shaping perceptions of death and dying. Sharon set up the first Death Cafe in Kingston Upon Thames, using real life examples taken from two years working as a facilitator to highlight the importance of discussion on end of life. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

@@zain4019 You're right we are blessed past our realization! It is is a known fact though that past present and future are literally nothing. Our Creator is Eternal, there's another study I think it's based on the quantum level still looking into it but we are nothing but an image of the One True and Living Elohim. :)

Death totally sucks and if i could eliminate death itself i would. What's the point of us all having the gift life if it can someday be taken away especially in a brief instant? Since life can be taken away' then life is not a gift' it's more of a thing that we rent/borrow. I much rather die multiple times in a video game over the cruel reality of death. I know that our bodies have an expiration date unfortunately but i sure hope that we are more than just our flesh and bones. Hopefully our consciousness can exist outside our fragile human bodies. It's a good thing that nobody especially people who study medicine has all the answers nor everything figured out. Life being finite is the thing i hate most about life. If us being born to die after passing on our genes to the next generation is really all there is to life' then that itself is so lame. I would love to exist forever if i could but as some spirit/ghost/soul entity.

Accepting your own mortality is a sign of intellectual maturity. As we grow and learn about life, we humans understand we are mortal unlike most other animals which cannot. By accepting and facing our mortality we can enjoy to the maximum the life we are experiencing presently. Accept your mortality and enjoy the present .

From the moment you're born, you're dying. Therefore it's all part and parcel of the cycle of life. My nan died laughing to the very end. This existence is temporary, so make it count. The afterlife is questionable, but I would be at peace with the physical death of my shell.

Scientists & top physicians are baffled by aging process... In the book of Ecclesiastes 3 : 11 it talks of how Almighty God "put eternity put into the hearts" of mankind... a loving God wld never do this and then allow cells to die at a certain time... Hebrews 2 : 14 "...the one causing death and sorrow is Satan..." Jesus's words... Daniel Chapter 2 : Describes aptly the time we're in now... fascinating - in the feet & toes of that immense image of a man... The march of the world Empires...from Head of good Gold (Babylon/Egyptian); Chest of Silver (Assyrian/Medeo Persian); Torso of Bronze (Roman/Grecian); Legs of Iron (Anglo/American); Feet of Iron & Clay (Radical elements up&coming) partly strong (Iron) partly weak (Clay) - ISIS - uncontrollable masses of agitated mankind/Protestors/et al "May you live in interesting times"...Confuscious

As hard as my life has been, I don't want to die. I love living! I love being in love, just being here. I don't want to go. I'm so afraid. I saw what my family members went through at death and the indignities of it all. No, I want too my crafts, watch my adventures and be with my boyfriend. Have my coffee daily. To work in the job I love. Photographing life. Why in this day is there not cure for it?

As a support worker and working with people that are dying...it is sad how many people do not feel comfortable at best embarrassed on our dying...l feel they are robbed of so much! There is a real and urgent need for people to speak and be heard when they are at there most vulnerable... I agree,We need to start talking about dying and death so as a society we can all start LIVING...

There is no you, the thing you think you are is not a real thing at all. The ty you identify with or the thing you think people talk about when you are not around is not a real thing now the next life or the next life or the next. We are not a summation of happenings, or our morals or our personalities or our marital status, living conditions, or the quality of our moments. We are the same thing that was just dividing cells from the moment of conception. No morals, no name, not even a heartbeat but 200,% identifiable, fertilized egg. Why be afraid of death it is a rebirth but there is only one universe and this is it.

There is eternal life through Jesus Christ, you think we were created such sophisticate beings to justperish and never have any original purpose, have we asked our selves where have we come from why are we here and where are we going! We all recognize this day we ignorantly call "Christmas" but do we read the Bible and understand who Jesus Christ actually is? Why He came here? And where is He now? Good news, He got crucified for us and is alive. Sounds rather alarming and sad but He did it for us which is why we need to be grateful and understand the magnitude of His sacrafice ! Eternal life is verily real and sorrow is not to be an accomplice in our life. Verily He is God, and our Creator, a simple observation of the quality of the Bible and it's infallibility in being the Word from God Himself will bring us to the nourhsing facts of eternal life which was ordained for us from the begining through Truth and justice! There are a lot of deceitful people in this world who try to mingle the truth with lies to water down the Truth but the Truth will always come to light ! I pray we will all understand the magnitude and the sovreignity of Jesus Christ. The entire Bible is interlocked and is compossed by 40+ authors containing 66 divers yet fully connected book written over the span of 2000+ years!! if you tell me and your selves a lie that the relevance all these books together is just of a coincidence then we are all jus a conincidence and the perfect construct of our brains, the trees, the solar system of our world is made by nobody than woe unto us for then we'd have no pupose. Rather we do and that is what our Creator made us for! Let's go back to the original plan he had for us to live in perfect harmony without sin, The archaeological studies the documentary discoveries and simple comptent analyses will reveal our Creator has sent this message to us as the intellectual design of this blessed book is from the outside of the dimension of time!! The structure it self mentioned above literally foretells of information on what's going to happen thousands of years later and before it does! I urge you to check out my playlists and ope the Bible yourselves for the taste of the TRUTH THIS world tries to hide! I love you all my family ! Love Joy and Peace forevermore.
