This is what I was afraid of. Even though I'm not actively reading any of the X titles, I wanted the Krakoan Era to stay the status quo long term. There's no reason for it to just collapse already and feel like a pointless endeavor.

Failure was written into the mission statement, even going back to Hickman's original stories - House and Powers of X. Remember, the mutants always lose. And then there are the machinations of Marvel Studios, who could be developing a "back to basics" X-Men that will surely end the "Krakoan Era" in the comics. Most people love the X-Men because they are underdogs, which is why they will permanently lose. They rise but always fall.

So if the Krakoan Era continued, not only would the X-Men cease being superheroes, but they would stop being the "good guys" and become the establishment, destroying what made X-Men and mutants popular with readers in and out of comics.

This some ole bullshit! Why is this ending so soon? Why couldnt the mutants have had their place for years? decades? I am pissed! Here's the thing. When the majority doesnt want YOU included and then you go and deliberately exclude yourself they still have issues with it because it wasn't on THEIR terms. I feel like Krakoa or even Arako ending is rushed because "different people aren't supposed to be happy". If this were a whole alternate comic line where the mutants stayed on Krakoa or the 2 islands actually merged and everyone moved to Mars and let normal Earthlings deal with their own stuff and the mutants stayed away, I'd subscribe to that ASAP. I don't like this. This is ending way too soon!

Franklin Richards must be thinking immediately about those gates, even Kate Pryde, who now has to deal with Nimrod and ORCHIS on the matter. Side thought: I think the mansion that we all fear of the mutants staying in, shouldn’t be feared, for I would rather see it changed as a resourceful place instead of a residency or facility, think more of a library of mutantkind historia. Plus, Danger and the daughter she would’ve shared with Madison Jeffries were residing there (since the Wolverine and Deadpool arc in Percy’s Wolverine and LaValle’s Sabretooth: The Adversary).

I absolutely loved the first two arcs of Legion of X. One of my favorite from the entire Krakoa era. It feels so whacky and over the top, but also always examines the experience of the people in the stories. Not just who they punched but how they felt, their fears, their hopes, their connections to other characters. Si clearly had a fun and so did I.

Juggernaut wanted to help mutants so he's been with Nightcrawler and Legions group. Apocalypse left Krakoa to be with his wife and rule another dimension. He was one of the most interesting characters in the beginning.

The school is an essential part of the original concept of the X-Men, who are not only heroes but people - students, both figuratively and literally - learning to live with their powers. Over the years, several writers have shown you can have the school act as both a headquarters and an institution of learning. The Fox movies made good use of the school, especially in X2. There are several examples throughout all of the various series and iterations of the X-Men that show the school is as important to them as the Baxter Building is to the Fantastic Four, the Batcave is to Batman, or the Fortress of Solitude is to Superman. Even Spider-Man will always find himself sleeping at Aunt May’s, no matter how old or young. And, in each iteration, the school has evolved. The X-Men will always return to the school, an essential part of their creation and an inspiration for many of the team’s greatest stories.

As I read Sins of Sinister with a full grasp of how drastic the effect on the rest of the Marvel Universe was, and the fact it delves into future events, it was pretty clear to me that isn’t being used as mainline continuity. Sinister is journeying down a timeline that someway has to be reversed (since, at the very least, it’s not like the Avengers are going to be killed off this way). Doug isn’t dead in the “true” present nor are the Quiet Council overwritten by Sinister’s psyche, just in Sinister’s current timeline. Now, it certainly will have lasting smaller effects on the present but don’t take that event as the true status of the 616.

House of X really revitalized the series, similar to Morrison's run on X-Men around '03. It's sad to see them go out like this but Marvel always does this. I really like it too end because it hasn't been good since Hellions and Hickman leaving was a bit of a set back even tho he said that he gave the writer's drifts to work from witch I got from reading X Lives and Deaths Of Wolverine, but Claremont is waiting to return to the Uncanny X-Men again because X-Treme X-Men is better than most of the Krakoa era as a whole But I'm convinced that Fall Of X won't be the end because Jordan White sucks the life out of the X-Men since Marvel Now

@@cliftonhatchett1724 Nope, the X-Men throughout Claremonts run were all over the place like the Outback X-Men team were primarily in Australian, even the Matt Fraction run had them in San Francisco then Utopia The X-Men have Krakoa gates yet it's not creative like it was presented but I feel like nobody knows how to write interesting complex stories focused on the characters that gives people a reason to care, like in the X-Treme X-Men they aren't in the mansion because it picks up where the original left off plus Chris Claremont made the X-Men great to begin with otherwise nobody would be talking about Storm beating Cyclops without her powers in Uncanny X-Men #201 only for Madelyne Pryor to later say that she used her powers on Cyclops to make him lose But everything has to be full cycle otherwise it becomes disjointed & Hickman wanted to end the Krakoa era before it began to overstay it's welcome

I don’t think the Banner/Title of the next X-event should be taken literally. Yes, I know what was written about year 1K, and mutants “always lose”, and the like. But, do you guys remember the same thing happened in the late 80’s/90’s with “Fall Of The Mutants” and “Days Of Future Past”??? In FOTM, yes there was a massacre of the morlocks, and the X-Men did die (for like literally a minute or so) but Roma brought them back moments later. And for a long time after the story started, DOFP was the definitive future the X-Men were trying to prevent for years. The “Fall Of X” could just be hyperbole/restructuring for Krakoa era. Marvel would hopefully not be foolish enough to destroy a whole era of this title, that is so lucrative, and one that gave this title, the new life it desperately needed, before this era happened. I do believe their will be a huge shake up on Krakoa and the X-Books, but not in the complete erasure of the mutants and them having their on nation. But we’ll see. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Legion how he normally is is just weak to mental attacks but Nate isn’t more powerful than him. He didn’t even know he was trapped in Legion’s mind until Bishop came in and he wasn’t wearing his AoA attire. Plus Nate was amped up by the life seed. Legion right never sleeps, he’s been meditating for 6 months straight to control his power. Remember at any moment he can absorb all of his personalities and powers and transcend but he doesn’t wanna do that.

He beat David Haller, he did not beat Legion…meaning he didn’t not beat a Legion that was put together..and even when Nate Warped reality and made the Age of X, Legion was the only person not affected by it, he was playing around with the minds of the people in the cell. Nate if not more powerful than Legion, Legion has a weakness to mental attacks and after Nate realized he was in Legion’s head then Legion it’s was easy to subdue him because he’s already in his head. You do know that you can be stronger than someone and still lose right? Legion is more powerful than Nate but Legion as he regularly is has a weaknesss to mental attacks because of his illness. He was even called “possibly the most powerful being” Legion was. He’s been meditating everyday. Prof X never new how powerful he was, after he used Legions power to get the ppl out of the altar he realized how hard it was for legion. He said his power dwarfs any individuals abilities then he said what Legion has to go through would be difficult for anyone of sound mind, but for someone with his illness, challenges, difficulties, lapses, etc. it’s intolerable. You’re think about Legion of how he is normally..when prof x says he’s the most powerful mutant he doesn’t mean how we always sees him…he’s talking about with all the powers he has and if he was ever to just transcend and it was stated it can do whenever. All he has to do is absorb all of his personalities as he did when he erased himself from existence. Nate Grey is op, yes. But he has no feats that scale to legion’s. His best feat is making the age of XMan..legion already did that it was called the Age of X…legion just got a multiversal feat in Legion of X #6 when they said if he fought Uranos it would destroy multiverses and abstracts….Legion is in far more control than he was when he fought Nate Grey.

It seems as if the only stance of the creative team is to line up krakoa for a fall. Each X title just sets up more problems and refuses to use the power the mutant have to nuetralise any threat just toy with it. Nimrod,Sinister, Cotv, mikhail, all viable threats to not just mutanta but humanity and all that is done is toy with them. Have the krakoa era mutants really won any encounters yet? Instead ofasking why Krakoa is falling? - a better question would be why should it even be saved? Mutants more hated than ever. Ghettoised in their neo-fascist segregation Island. Sentinel programs getting more development than ever. Everyone infected by Sinister. All the X-men dead and replaced with soulless and irredeemable plant clones. How is this future a better outcome for mutants than Planet X, House of X (or even Age of Apocalypse and Askani) timelines at this rate?

I will say this again. Ending the Krakoan Era will be the biggest mistake Marvel Comics has made for the past 20 years. This Era of X-men is perfect for the time we are living in. And it is because of this Era that people like myself are following X-men Comics religiously. There is no better story for the mutants than Krakoa. And it's end would most likely be the end of a lot of readership for X-men Comics.
