If people behaved the way some of these youtubers did or had serious allegations like Shane has, we would be fired. We would lose our livelihood (as we should). There are so many people that make a fraction of what Shane makes and work so much harder. It is such a privilege to hurt so many marginalized people and then shout cancel culture. It’s like what Gabi did this week. If I was as dumb as that bitch and made the same mistake, I would lose everything (as I should). But what happens is these creators wait it out a couple of months (cause they can afford to...also a privilege) and come back to their job like nothing happened. I absolutely do not think they harmed the kitten for clout. I know they loved and cared about it. I did sort of get the weird feeling that they were taking the kitten’s death as an opportunity (knowingly or not) to get some level of sympathy and to continue to push for Shane to get back on the internet, which has been happening for a little while now. EDIT: yes I do have empathy and feel bad for them. The loss of a pet is terrible. I’m just unsure they realize the way this all comes off. And I think if he continues to come back to the internet, a proper explanation, acknowledgement, and apology for what he has done need to be given very soon.

The death of the kitten was absolutely gross negligence on his part tho- he has two big dogs, one of which is KNOWN to have "Cat Chasing" issues. He did not acclimate the dogs and the kitten, and he left the kitten unattended. The kitten died due to the physical trauma of being attacked by the dog(s) and these two men are absolutely responsible. The kitten died due to their negligence.
