I’ve a sample sent to me in pan form. The paint hardened and became impossible to re-activate so I probably don’t recommend squeezing this out into pans. Just in case

Teoh the same thing happened to Oto Kano the paint hardened in the pan. I wonder why that happens.

Try A. Gallo. It re-wets beautifully and is transparent

Hello Alice, lovely video as always. Just a quick correction the pigment reflects infrared radiation, it does not absorb ultraviolet radiation.

Ayeeee I got the quiz right! ☺️. To me, the greatest benefit from this pigment is that it's non-toxic and quite stable. This means we can replace eg cobalt blue for spaces where stability is a must but toxicity is an issue 🌈

Ugh! I have been on a waiting list for years, and about a year and a half ago I got an order form that I could fill out so I could be put on a second tier of a waiting list for when it came out “any day now“, so I was super interested to see how does this paint actually work! @@eurekawanders thanks! I ordered it from Golden back in June, but they never sent anything. They sent me mail in August saying they’ve sold out again, and will let me know when they have more. That was the last I heard from them. Back in February of this year they emailed me saying they’d get back to me about pricing and availability “in a couple of weeks”. 😂 I get the feeling that this will go down as being one of the most hyped and underwhelming color releases ever. It is so disappointing. They were selling it like it could be the next Yves Klein Blue, but then it turned out Ultramarine blue was still the better color all along. *womp womp*

@@eurekawanders I guess they haven’t released it into the market where I live, in the Netherlands. I can’t find it anywhere, not even online. It’s either sold out everywhere or not listed at any of the art supply stores as an item they carry. I’ve only found it at one webshop in Sweden, and on Etsy, where they’re selling a quarter pan for $60 USD. So you could sell the rest of your tube online for a nice profit! :)

Way too close to Ultramarine, and even now, way too expensive. I'd say save your money and wait some more for volumes to increase and prices to fall.
