I started reloading when I was 19 years old, I am now 74 years old. I reload for 30 calibers! If you shoot a lot, I do, the only way to afford it is by reloading. It is a great hobby and very educational, because you learn about ballistics, bullet design, trajectory, propellent properties, and caliber design. Reloading is also a great way to stay away from steel cased ammunition.

Every thing cost something even if it’s free. The money & time spent and the effort made to collect lead & spent brass and turn it into projectiles ( melting lead and casting cost fuel) and to recondition for reuse costs something.

Back in the day, it was nice when you could reload to save money. Nowadays not so much, so now I basically reload only "specialty" loads, or obsolete stuff.

Been reloading shotshells for a while now but I just started casting and reloading 45 Colt. Really enjoying it. I might be saving a little money, but I do it more for the fun and the knowledge/self reliance aspect.

You are not allowed to Manufacture new ammunition. Assembling components is allowed. A lot of time it will get demonetized and you have to request a review to get it back up. Also show parts of the process, not the whole round from start to finish, or leave parts out of it and link to the full video on rumble. This helps you not have to deal with the demonetization. I reload 9mm. It costs me a little more per round that buying the cheap stuff, but I have a perfect load that works really well in my AR-9 SBR. I also have worked out a good 5.56 load for my AR-15 SBR with a suppressor.

Keep in mind that an $89 dollar used revolver can outshoot any new $1200 semi-auto out of the box.

Honestly it feels like the only way to get good consistent ammo for a decent price is to reload.

There's a difference between it being forbidden content and it being demonitized. Full auto, 30rd magazines, gun smiting, etc... not banned. Just might get your vid demonitized. No big deal for those of us who don't care about making $$$ off our content. 🤠

I was fortunate enough to have an old timer give me a RCBS single stage press, scale, powder throw, some powder, primers and brass a few years back. I have gotten into reloading mainly 38-357. I plan to purchase the dies to reload 44. I have a 44 special not magnum. I also have a 450-bushmaster rifle that I plan to purchase dies and reload those as well. It is somewhat about saving money but mainly for the satisfaction of producing something on my own. I enjoy the time that I spend reloading. I plan to stick to reloading straight wall cartridges at least for now. Thanks for the information.

The vast majority of Americans, on both sides of the isle, support universal background checks. It's been coming since they started making us dealers do background checks in the mid 90s.

@@donwyoming1936 It probably depends on how you ask them the question. My uncle died owning my great grandfather's rifles that he's bought about 90 years ago. He meant for me to have them but never prepared a will. Beat up, rusty single shots and such, not worth much. His wife let me have them but wanted fair market value, and I didn't mind paying because she needed the cash. Most Americans don't think I should have to pay a couple hundred extra bucks to an FFL to get my granddad's guns from a relative. But I read this new reg and since she made a profit I'd potentially now have to pay some FFL $45 bucks a pop for each gun.
