Springfield Savage 67 B. Hey! I got this old used gun.

I picked one of these not too long ago for $200, it was a cylinder bore model that was missing it’s buttplate. I slapped a limbsaver pad on the buttstock and it was good to go. Interesting old “budget” shotgun for sure.

Mr. Jones I use the 170 grain Lee with a gas check and 2400 as my powder and get around 1'' to 1.25 groups with it. I'm shooting it out of a 1964 Remington 700 ADL.

I remember the Savage version sold in the JC Penny catalog for $109.99 in 12 or 20 gauge. Plugged to 2 in the mag and one in the pipe. Good guns but you can’t be easy pumping it.

I bought one in 1970 i was 16 years old played $ 79.00 at Sears or Pennys. It shot good but was a pain in my ass. Just a cheap shotgun ..Now it hangs on a wall. Nice vid

I shoot cast bullets almost daily. Most of them are plain base & all are cast just hard enough so they have well defined bases & grease grooves. Whenever I ran into accuracy or leading problems It usually turned out to be due to undersized bullets for the particular firearm/ load combination, even though measuring the bullets & slugging the bore would have suggested otherwise. I no longer size cast bullets. I use the largest diameter mold for the caliber I can get. I tumble or pan lube them, & shoot them as cast at starting or moderate velocities. Since doing this I get virtually no leading & fine accuracy . In many cases outstanding accuracy. You might consider giving this method a try.

I know a guy walking with one of those slung over his shoulder. The bolt holding the stock to receiver broke. He was left holding the stock the rest of gun slid down his shoulder in front of him. When it hit the ground went off shot him in shin. He was able to keep leg. Don't know if that particular shotgun might be more prone? Freak accident

I think he is referring to taking the Barrell off and holding a penny to the bolt face and pulling the trigger and see if the firing pin hits the penny face.
