I do want to make a video about Once Bitten Twice Dead (I read it when it dropped), but I'm honestly not 100% sure how to go about it 😅 I have a lot to talk about with that book and honestly half of it's not even about what happens in the book itself. But maybe I will start scripting something soon because I know lots of people are curious and I haven't seen many people cover it. Especially since it's a prequel to the comics, it would be nice info to have! If you have any specific questions about it I can try to answer them here or in the video.

Didn't read the comic - not disponible in my country. I know this is maybe a strange take... But I really doubt that this is in line with G1 main continuity. It's more a rewriting to me with all the existing G1 product (I read the book, and its clearly AU). You have good points, however my main theory is that they're doing more a YA version than a sequel (they say its canon to G1, which is the case for all Mattel's related product or Lisi Harrison book even... but its even pointed out that the movie continuity is not truly respected... And Monster High is a whole nest of different continuities in the bookverse / comicverse). This would be more logic - and more acceptable for many who don't accept the random lore change and drastic tone modification (I think, I'm not the whole fandom), with also reviving a part of Monster High G1 and testing other grounds and themes without forcing a unevolutive sequel that some may not want. But I'm happy that the artists have fun. Frankie and Bloodgood are the most in-character for me. I think there is potential, but it's not enough advanced to really have a judgement, finally. I'm not going to lie, the illustrations are the best and the illustrator deserve a raise. But as someone who is plot-focused, if the same plot want to be his own thing (the case in OBTD), I think its needed he assume until the end his own originality, and present himself not as G1 ''main'' continuity, but as his ''own G1 continuity'' (and there will be nothing bad about it - because it's a doll brand originally). However, the comics are not finished, so we can't judge yet again - I'm basing myself on the book for now....

@@Alienofaquitaine Hi! Thank you so much for your comment! I definitely agree that it feels like an AU! I'm basing my assessment of it being connected to the other g1 MH media off of statements from Mattel and people who are working on the project. I honestly don't think it makes any sense for it to be connected to the other things (well, I don't think OBTD makes any sense that way, so far the comics don't clash all too much but they're sequels to OBTD so) but since they're claiming it is that's the way I'll be judging it, as opposed to judging it as it's own thing. I hope that makes sense! 💖

I'm a continuity-eater even in Monster High fandom, so trust me, I can understand what you're saying (with the mess that is my mind when I hyper-fixate on the MH-verse). As you're reviewing also on KZbin, I think this is great that you're also basing yourself on actual infos, and as some are kinda blurry yet, this is probably the safer. I hope you will gain more visibility, too. You're content stand out for me, and you're favorite ship is something that lack in the fandom (adults characters in MH are under-estimated). 💖
