Re: baby prawn crackers, the package says 1才からの which means "from age 1 and up" so these were literally "Baby's First Prawn Crackers" which could explain why it was on the bland side 😅🦐

Lmao that's really cute. No wonder they're so mild. I like my chips bold, so I stopped buying prawn crackers because the shrimp smell was stronger than the actual flavor. I love the seaweed chips, though. 😍

So as somebody that's been living in Japan let me share something that took me waaaaaay to long to realize or ask about. "Salad" on fried products like this does not actually mean it's suppose to taste of salad or veggies. It simply means it was fried in "salad oil" which is a refined vegetable oil. It is roughly the same as saying "plain"

I live in Kyushu so I always get the Kyushu Soy Sauce flavor for Jagariko, easily my favorite Calbee snack, they'd be S for me. If you're able to get your hands on them, I highly recommend

Calbee makes a kind of Pea crisp which comes in a Wasabi flavor and it's amazing, really good snack if you're watching your macros. Good amount of fiber and protein. Much healthier than potato chips. They're called "harvest snaps"

Kataage Potato black pepper is my favorite Japanese potato chip!! I love Jagarico a lot too! There are tons of limited edition flavors (like the pizza ones you tried) but of the basic ones, double cheese is my favorite! I haven't had those exact umeboshi chips, but I always love umeboshi flavored snacks! I've actually had Kataage Potato's umeboshi flavor. It was really refreshing for a potato chip. I loved it! I'm glad you enjoyed some of my favorites!! :D

This video was a fun watch because I live in Japan and see Calbee stuff all the time. Might buy those spicy pizza ones at the store today if I can find them, lol. I think the shrimp/prawn snacks are meant to be for babies/toddlers, which would explain the very weak flavour. At my local mall's supermarket there's a section that has various bags of chips in that sort of mini-bag style with multiple connected bags, and the whole section is baby/toddler snacks. I've had other shrimp/prawn snacks in Japan and it's usually a flavour they do well, so I'd recommend trying some other ones.

Yo, just hit up my Grocery Outlet and they randomly had the regular "Melty Cheese" Pizza chips that I'm assuming you normally get. As Leonard says "They're definitely a 'buy'." Thick ridge cut but not hard to crunch through, and a great balanced flavor of sweet and savory. I'm actually impressed, I usually don't enjoy any type of cheesy chips! Thank you for this random gift, universe.

Jagarico are my favorite! The umami seaweed flavor is hands down my favorite, but I do also like the Hokkaido butter and sukiyaki ones too. ☺

The Jagabee butter soy sauce flavor are probably my favorite Japanese snack I've ever tried, and I was so sad when my local Asian grocery store stopped carrying them! I could eat those any day of the week, and would definitely recommend trying them if you ever get the chance

My favorite Calbee snacks are their original shrimp chips. The sticks. Those things are addictive. If I buy them I will keep finding reasons to go to the store that has them to get more. The Hokkaido butter sticks are okay (the ones at the beginning of the video) but I agree, not salty enough. Love these videos!
