Let's try to fix the action on this civivi elementum edc pocket knife disassemble and cleaning oil

Nice eBay find. Elementum doesn’t have a D-shaped pivot. When you take it apart to clean it next time look at the show side scale and underside of the edge the C of the pivot. The scale has detent/bump and under the pivot edge there will be a notch that matches to it. I believe my Civivi Odium is like that too.

Lol I have a bad habit of every time I take a knife apart I have to scrub the micarta scales to get them as clean as possible... the patina drives me crazy....I soak and scrub both sides of the micarta lol

Too bad the seller didn't sharpen the knife before selling it. I notice people rave about certain knives that seem to be actual functional and affordable like the RAT. The same goes with the CIVIVI Elementum. It's a basic knife design with a good steel blade and even though it's alittle more than a Ontario RAT it's still under the $60 price which I think is still affordable knife.

i put on a new edge on most of my knives. well, have to ;-) the single-serve cleaning pads with alcohol seem to be neither economically nor ecologically valuable - no offense.

They are really cheap and I like it a little better then alcohol on a small rag or tissue but that would work just as good thanks for watching
