Maybe buy pre cut clear plexiglass and use black vinyl to blackout the boarders. Just gotta cut out the speaker holes.

Hey man, first of, thanks for the video. I am at the part where you basically explain about the crack on the plexiglass. I was wondering, could you not fit some kind of plastic cover over the cut out rectangle, so this ‘cover’ has some similar look like with the speakers? Black and it would be outside of the plexiglass, so you would never know? Hope that makes sense, I’m not native.

2:21 Wouldn't it have been much easier for you to overlap the DMD Screen over the outside of the plexiglass and then outline it with a sharpie instead of wasting the time on having to guess the measurements for the DMD screen?

Great job! If I ever get Legends pinball table, I'd get a new piece of plexiglass and make my own with a custom marquee and get rid of the Legends Pinball all together.

But… How does this work for all the laptops out there that I know only have one hdmi output and have this running ? I see videos all over KZbin with people running older basic laptops that I’m sure only have one ? Thank you again. I’m

You could try using a USB to HDMI adapter. The performance you get will depend on if it is USB 2.0 or 3.0, but you should be fine. The back glass will be static and the dmd isn't running something super demanding. I would use the actual built in HDMI on your laptop to run the playfield, since you will want to try and get 60fps.

stupid question, once you mount the dmd, how do you connect it to the pinball machine?

Its connected to the OTG PC. That is the only way it is useful on the Legends Pinball HD.

@@FactorofGames ok, sorry to ask, Maybe it’s me.. The hdmi from the pc goes into the top left hdmi otg input at top left of playfield. What gets plugged I to the dmd? What gets plugged into the vibs board? Do I need a 1 to 3 hdmi splitter and plug each into all of those inputs ?

Agreed! I’m certain there is a way to enable it on one larger display and then the plexiglass would separate the two and keep the cost far lower than my solution.

These are great vids (part 1/2) but just wondering if you had a vid, or just a quick tutorial on how you ran your otg button if you did it? You mentioned in part 1 to get out of pc mode back to alp it needed to be switched back. Thank and great job, looks nice!

Im thinking about doing this... wondering if maybe it would look better with a new piece of clear acrylic from lowes or home depot. you wouldnt have to cut out anything other than the speaker holes. could mask off the areas of the screens and paint the inside of the sheet....

If I was to replace the current plexiglass, I would like to go for a full piece of tempered glass. Regardless, I agree with you that replacing it would be a nice upgrade.

Now that's done go to the glass shop get a Custom piece of glass cut from the glass shop say a 1 piece cut to fit both the 15 in and 8 inch screens and you can even change the marque at the top of the new glass perfect

Isn't it just a vinyl sticker that you can cut and then peel off, it looks cool though - Im not saying this to offend og beeing a smartass but im considering off buying this and doing the same stuff you did :)

It’s sold black acrylic or plexiglass as far as I can tell.
