The movie seems very surreal, but in my opinion, surrealism works best when there's no dialogue. I just think hearing understandable sentences makes it feel more grounded, which is the exact opposite of what you want

I remember this. One of the teachers I worked with pulled it up randomly from KZbin for the class to watch. Because when you know Jack shit about animation, you think everything looks alike, I guess. Same teacher tried to put on "Sonic" (while it was still in theaters and unable to stream) and got Bobby the Hedgehog. Five minutes in, "Huh, I don't think this is Sonic." YA THINK?

It's funny that this was released in Bosnia (this movie was produced by studios in Bosnia, Turkey and Qatar) in the same year as A Stork's Journey (another bird-based animated movie), yet somehow, this looked worse than A Stork's Journey. Funny that Lionsgate distributed both movies too (another Birds Like Us was only released last year in the States via Lionsgate). At least we are getting better bird-based animated movies in the coming years such as Migration this year and Poland's Iggy the Eagle, although nothing wil compare to one of teh best bird-based animated movies of all time with Leafie, a Hen Into the Wild. Just watch the original uncensored version of Leafie and not the US version. The original version is still amazing till this day.

Even tho ive never seen this, as a kid with free access to netflix, this movie hits so close to home as a good example of the crack shart bottom of the barrel movies i used to watch that were 90% animal themed. I can try to name a few that i recall were pretty bad. I think oscars oasis, missing lynx, some vegetarian lion, khumba, delhi safari, some bird one, tinga tinga tales, animals united, mechanical animals, SPACE DOGS. Space dogs i think was the name but it was one of my personal favorites. It was based on the real dogs that got sent to space and the animation was terrible is all i remember. I would die if u ever watched any of these bc of how obscure they are. Does anyone remember ruby gloom, hard hat harry, or mrs spider? Now im just unapologetically listing the most memorable movies i saw as a child. I just looked up most of them to the best of my ability and im so disappointed most of them have been removed from netflix altogether. Im so determined to find the mosaic animal tails one. I know it existed at one point but no key words bring up any results, trying to find it atm... found nvm tinga

Before Crist then Anno Domini aka "in the year of the lord" Have the same days listed as Before Common Era and Common Era simply because they could not bother with finding "Common ground" to link the dates even though the Han Dynasty, Roman Empire, Satavahana dynasty and Kingdom of Kush were well established and documented.

@@TubbyTarchia I was just sharing what I consider them to be and intended no offense. As I said other people call them avians. I consider them to fit under the category of scalies. I don't call them 'scalie subspecies' and I don't call lizard anthros, snake anthros, turtle anthros, etc... that either. To me it is simply scalie. You are right that avian works just fine, and that is why most people call them that. My personal reasons for considering them scalies is because the word 'avian' is not specific to the furry community so searching that term doesn't necessarily come up with relevant results, and 'avian' doesn't follow the naming conventions of furries or scalies. It sticks out to me like a sore thumb which is why I don't like the term personally. I don't mean to imply that other people can't use it or even that they shouldn't use it. I was only offering a second option so OP can pick what they prefer for themselves whether to think of them as avians or scalies, or even to use both terms.

It's indeed a confusing movie, most characters were uninteresting or ugly (I'm looking at you Huppu and Gavra), only Bat was slightly interesting and Hassan was the MVP who did most of the things. What I love the most about the movie is the music (especially at the start of the movie), wish I could find the soundtrack but no such luck.
