I never expected those two little squirts to battle so valiantly. But on a more serious note, you pretty much summed up my thoughts on this death battle; the environment could definitely determine who would win. Though not as impressive as some of the other DB match-ups, this was still entertaining to watch. Great Commentary, by the way. The great thing about your channel is there are much less people that rant and complain when their favorite characters lose or gloat when their favorite characters win. What they mean is that it takes one hit to kill them, but because they have a shell, Mario never actually hits them, he just hits the shell making the Koopa automatically retreat. This may be why you can kill a Koopa in one shot by hitting the block their standing on from beneath them

Another Great Let's Watch Ris. I do agree that they've done better battles, I can't hold it against them, their opponents for the battle aren't exactly the most exciting mobs in the world. It's amazing they were able to make the battle as interesting as they did.

great job, the next fight is Haggar vs Zangief. Haggar is from a Capcom game called Final Fight, and Zangief is from Street Fighter. These two huge wrestlers, in addition to being hilariously awesome, are also Arch rivals who keep stealing each others moves to use in there fighting games, and had never met in person until this DEATH BATTLE!

It does actually take 2 hits to kill a Koopa because if you stomp on a Koopa once and wait, it will eventually hop back out of its shell.

Side note, koopas do in fact counter attack if you hold the shell long enough. The more you know.

Oh, I love Koopas so much. Fun fact, though, not all of them are evil. In at least one game, Mario has a Koopa Troopa friend who challenges him to races. He was fun to play with too. :)

Technically the Koopa both won, and can't die. When it "dies" its skeleton can be reanimated into a Dry Bones, which cannot die, even when you jump on it, its skull falls off, and the skull lands in lava. (Unless you use an Invincibility star, or in NSMB Wii use an Ice Flower to freeze it)

When I was watching the fight, i was thinking. i don't think thats how its supposed to go. if their really THAT stupid, how can they dodge all of those other enemies?! HOW R THEY EVEN SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THEIR ECOUNTER WAS GOING GOING TO BE A FIGHT TO THE DEATH?! do their tiny brains have room for dodging abilities and yet are unable to think to stop walking until they reach a cliff?! if i could imagine a fight with a goomba and a koopa, (sadly I can't) ik it wouldn't be this epic.

dry bones is my num1 fav enemie from the mario games, koopa is my second fav, i played allot with dry bones when i had mario kart ds however when mario kart 7 came out on the 3ds it saddend me that you didnt had dry bones anymore they replaced him instead with koopa wich isnt such a big problem because i love him as second fav character and i play allot with him now in mario kart 7.

in the time this video was made (before super mario 3D world) goombas were chestnut's not mushroom's that explains their different appearance in super mario world (not 3D world) so that means that they were wrong about saying "they abandon their mushroom brethren) in now times i guess that goombas are now mushrooms or at least not chestnut's because the chestnut like goombas are now a different enemy in super mario 3D world

I still think the Koopa won here just because it collided with the Goomba killing it just before the Koopa fell in the lava. But then again i'm judging it just by the animation. If the block was not their to bounce back the Koopa shell then the Goomba would have won. I'm starting to think the winner would depend on their environmental situation. I guess that means it would still be a tie after all.^_^

I actually thought Sly Cooper would be a good opponent due to similar personalities, abilities and professions though with all Sly Cooper's gadgets and skills he has learned by reading the Thievious Racconus I think he may be a bit too op for Ezio but maybe not, that is what Death Battle is for.
