I don't know much about either fighter here, but I have seen a few He-Man episodes. I gotta say, they were pretty fun in a cheesy way, but he seems pretty strong! Can Lion-O match him?

***** Thanks, as for the spoiler in this episode, you don't have to worry too much in the future, they only put it here because this was the episode right after Goku vs Superman, which drove a lot of people nuts. In terms of order, the only thing you'd need to watch before another to avoid a spoiler is Vegeta vs Shadow before Goku vs Superman.

lol I suppose I will have to. Initially, I gave my predictions over those times just because I didn't want to watch the advertisements. I figured that the best way to make use of that time was to briefly discuss my thoughts on the battle so far. I suppose the best explanation, then, for why I don't pause, is first (the selfish reason), it's harder to edit that in terms of syncing everything up, and second, I kind of like the pressure of having to go quickly. Doesn't give me the luxury to sit down for five minutes and really consider all they've said; I kind of have to go with the impressions I've gotten and give my initial reactions instead of my thought-out predictions.

I suggest you get around to doing a lets watch of Goku vs Superman soon to find out how it went down (and grab some snacks because it's a long one). After that, you should either watch Ivy vs B. Orchid (in which it seems you DON'T wanna watch for whatever reason) or Death Battle from the begining to prevent any further spoilers...Kinda like how Daniel wei did when he mentioned the TMNT fight and mentioned leonardo going at it with Zitz from BattleToads after.

I'm actually hoping to watch Goku VS Superman for this weekend! But yeah, going in order certainly wouldn't hurt. The only reason I was leaning away from watching Ivy VS Orchid was because, considering the way Ivy dresses, I was worried about (visual) sexual content. I wouldn't want to post that sort of thing on my channel. But someone with Death Battle assured me that it was fine, so now it's more a matter of "majority rule," in my mind.

Something to remember about this video. Lion-O wasn't the only one killed. Also killed were Tygra, Panthro, Cheetarah, Wilykit, Wilykat, Bengali, Pumyra, Lynxo, and EVERY OTHER THUNDERCAT IN EXISTENCE. Because the Eye of Thundera was destroyed. He-Man couldn't have known, but he committed genocide of the entire Thundercat race here.

Dude, be glad they didn't bring in the 2000 version. He is easily stronger and smarter than the original... not to mention more skilled because it's an origin story that delves deeper into Adam's/He-Man's training throughout the series. That, and 2000s He-Man defeated a Three-Headed Snake God single-handed. Even worse if they went with the new and recent Thundercats Lion-O, mainly because the Original had more than one season to expand on his character growth. Seriously, the remakes would have made this battle a total one-sided confrontation.

what i dont understand is...the sword didnt break in a blackhole...a big one in space...you know how much fucking pressure and gravity is in one? and it escaped...LIGHT CANT EVEN ESCAPE A BLACK HOLE! yet HE-MAN was able to destroy it with a punch, thats the one thing that irks me, i am kinda sad liono didnt win but i would be happier even with the same result if the battle went on a lil bit longer and the sword broke a different way or HE-MAN won without breaking the sword so easily or something

Well here's the thing that Death Battle is forgetting (yet again; they frequently forget details). Both He-Man and Lion-O have a little stipulation to their powers (or in Lion-O's case, the Sword of Omens). Neither of them are allowed to kill. If they do kill, then they can lose their powers or their weapons. The Sword of Omens actually breaks in an episode of Thundercats, because Lion-O injures Tygra. And there is an episode of He-Man where Adam loses his powers because he thought he killed someone (in He-Man's case, killing isn't necessary, you only have to 'think' you killed a person). So there could never be a winner between these two.

Kyle messenger of pain Mumm-Ra has always been a grey area when it comes to the Sword of Omens (even in the original series), probably because he is undead. But even still, Lion-O can't just waltz into his pyramid and kill him for no reason. He has to be doing something to actually threaten the world. And even then... Let's put it this way. The first time Lion-O defeated Mumm-Ra, he had to do it without the Sword of Omens as part of a trial to be officially recognized as the Lord of the Thundercats.
