I loved this battle. The animation was the best so far, the music was amazing (I've become addicted to the song that plays when Tony calls in his Endo-Sym), the voice acting was great (sure Lex's voice sounded off at times, but it was still a good VA overall), and the way the characters played off each other worked very well. I sadly won't go to SGC either, for similar reasons. Sucks too, since I think that "highly requested" battle will be Galactus (Marvel) vs Unicron (Transformers) which I really want to see. I'm predicting Galactus, but hoping for Unicron. As for the next battle, I'm essentially in the same boat as you: I saw the X-Men movies and, like maybe a single episode of Gargoyles, and not much else. Strangely, I think I'm rooting for Goliath though, just because he's the underdog. Though, I'm predicting Beast.

Justin D I'm just thinking back to what they said in their latest Q&A about how comic book characters are most likely going to win whatever they're in just because of how many writers, and thus how many powers, they have. jmangamer98 Not sure what a good matchup between those two franchises would be though, plus I remember reading that Galactus vs Unicron is coming up, and it's highly requested, so it's the first thing to come to my mind. strunton the skunk Problem with that is that a new Dragon Ball anime has just been announced, so if they do a rematch now, the DB anime will just wind up introducing a new form for fans to say needs to be in the next rematch. Especially since apparently Super Sayian God alone isn't enough to make up for the power differences, so Goku will need whatever new forms he gets in the future.

While I can’t speak for why so much kryptonite managed to land on earth, the reason it’s harmful to Superman is very simple, it’s radioactive. The same way that irradiated rock from our planet will hurt us. It’s even mentioned that kryptonite actually does hurt humans as well, it just takes much longer exposure. (Why yes, I do know this comment is three years old, but I decided to reply to it anyway. Just because.)

The fight and outcome are pretty accurate to what would really happen, overall it was well done. That next fight is gonna be really tough to call, but I am probably going to lean towards Beast winning because he has a lot more character development and super powers. If Goliath does manage to win (I would like him to win because he is an awesome underrated hero), I would be really surprised.

I feel that ScrewAttack! should do less hero vs villain matchups. Mainly because many villains just try for anti-(his/her nemesis) tactics, which don't work if it's not against said nemesis. If they did stuff where people took on similar roles (like Peach/Zelda, Mario/Sonic, Kratos/Spawn) Then it'd be a more reasonable fight.

Personally, I am GLAD Tony Stark won, I was rooting for the man the whole way through and was surprised the unknown Endo-Sym armor came in clutch the way it had! Plus I always saw Tony as the TRUE Iron Man and best armor warrior between the two, Tony actually has real combat experience and an adaptable mind that is good at thinking on the fly to find ways to beat his enemies in multiple situations. While Lex was entirely focused on raw power and weapons MEANT for only Kryptonians like Superman, Super Girl, or Power Girl. Sure, they hurt humans and meta humans, but not as much of a crippling weakness for them. In short, Tony's adaptability and multiple armors trumped Lex's one trick pony armor. Even the mightiest of warriors fall to the more skilled or clever warrior.

Not nitpicking but actually just kinda curious about something. From my own limited knowledge, the Symbiote Suits have two major weaknesses: sonic waves and fire. So what I am curious about is if those could have been useful against the Endo-Sym armor or if Tony's augmentation of it removed either of those weaknesses.

Actually the suit isn't actually an symbiote, it's just similar. When Tony's suit got knocked out in superior iron man, he was faking it. It was explained later on.

Was that crystal supposed to be kryptonite? A pretty good fight all things considered. I expected that if Lex won it would be due to his suit going toe to toe with Superman and Ironman's win would come from that alien thing. Beast vs Goliath is going to be interesting. From what I remember both are fairly agile and strong, but Goliath can glide (Not fly, I specifically remember a bit in an episode where they were stuck in a hole and he says "We cannot fly, but we glide very well") while Beast is hyper-intelligent. I'd give beast a slight advantage but Goliath is far from outmatched.

I soooort of think that, while the battle could have gone either way, they sort of left out some of Lex's better feats, but I was rooting for Iron Man anyways, so who cares? :P You should try and watch like the first season of Gargoyles. It's one of the best animated shows ever. And while Beast will have the advantage if he is allowed his inventions and tech, if this is just a fistfight, Goliath will take it (he can fly, has a lot more experience, and his body is a lot tougher). Not really Surprised with the Result. Technically it's because they gave Ironman his latest suit. Lex Haven't had a decent update in his suit. Seriously though the moment I saw them saying about the Superior Ironman armor then I already know who would win. Seriously though to some people who are saying Apokalyps tech are lower than Tony's tech should do some research first. The fight didnt catch a Lex Luthor vs Tony Stark conflict very well. Its more like a War Suit vs Iron Man's armors battle, which was cool, but doesnt represent what would really happen if those characters were to clash. Lex Luthor would not use a suit that isnt adapted to his opponent in battle, he is the smartest man on Earth after all (DC Earth). Iron Man's enemies are very diverse (espicially with the Avengers), so he is much more adaptable and is pretty much ready for anything. Lex's strategy to oppose that would most likely be to counter the Arc Reactor technology that is the common ground to all of Tony Stark's suits. And even if Tony is prepared for anything, he doesnt prevail at all. If Superman has defeated Lex's War Suit, Lex Luthor also had a lot of victories over him with it, while all of Stark's suits are failures: HulkBuster? Smashed! ThorBuster? Hammered! GodKiller? Killed by Gods (Celestials)!!! I understand they couldnt do that with the source material, but since its impossible to do this match up justice within the rules of Death Battle, they shouldnt have made it (or just put it as a 1-minute melee; seems more appropriate for that).

He has never bested superman in a fair 1v1 full strength fight he can't.On the other hand tony has one hit koed the hulk another planet buster on numerous occasions. Sure his suits are destroyed but by much powerful opponents at the time.Superman even admits that he holds back against lex and only uses the bare minimum of power to defeat him.Unless you think lex is strong enough to defeat a planet buster at full strength...

christopher waldron None of Iron man's suits have reached planet busting level either. Superman can do much more than destroy a planet, so of course you'd have to use their weakness. Neither Iron Man or Lex Luthor are at the same power level as Hulk or Superman so for them to have a fair fight with such beings they need to make the fight unfair for their opponent. Thats when you see how Iron Man is stupid compared to Lex. The only way Hulk can hurt him is if he gets in physical battle with him, so he builds the biggest slowest suit ever to try and match his physical strenght which has no upper limit, great! Lex on the other hand builds a suit that puts him as close as he can to Superman's level with weaponry that puts him Superman down as much as possible. Thats how you prepare for a fight. Tony Stark is the smartest dumb person ever and thats cool, I love him this way, but it has proven uneffective in a battle of wits...

Big Bowss​​​ False Tony's god killer and Thor buster suits are planet busters.I say this because if it takes an odin weilding thor not holding back to destroy it.That's means its atlease as powerful as base level Thor who is a planet buster even at that level.And god killer had to be destroyed by the celestials nuff said.Current iron man is at the level of savage hulk in terms of strength even Bruce admits this.That's actually once again false iron man has beaten Bruce using nanites to calm him down,a device that negates gama radiation for a short while and even a device that highjacks the targets nervous system .While lex can't physically overwhelm super man .Tony has one hit koed the hulk on more than one occasion shattering his arm in the process in one of his stronger suits.You just proved my point tony builds his suits to try and match his opponents strengths increasing his suits strength with every upgrade he gets.However lex tries to bring his opponent to his level so his suits stay at releatively the same strength at the time.Iron mans top tier suits are more powerful and durable than lexs thanks to his dumbest smart person mentality

christopher waldron My bad, I meant Iron Man never *built* a suit with planet busting abilities. His ThorBuster suit was gifted to him by Thor himself and Thor has defeated it without the OdinForce before (although you are right that it held its own against King Thor for awhile - still got hammered though). And GodKiller was built by an alien race long before Iron Man was even born. It has killed hundreds of Celestials in its prime and when Tony Stark used it, Tiamut destroyed it pretty easily. My point is that none of his Buster suist have been able to do more than statlemate his target, while the War Suit at least has some victories over Superman. Lex Luthor has a better record when it comes to building stuff specifically to beat someone than Tony Stark, thats undeniable.
