The English dub of Pokemon the First Movie cut out the parts with baby Mewtwo and Amber. Surprisingly, 4Kids actually dubbed those parts, but Kid's WB forced them to cut the parts out. You can find the parts on the Mewtwo Returns DVD as an extra. The next combatants are Agent Carolina and The Meta aka Agent Maine. They're both characters in Red vs Blue, but they've never fought each other one on one before.

I agree with you that this battle was pretty short compared to others. However, Mewtwo winning made sense with the mind-reading and memory erasure abilities. If Mewtwo didn't do either of those, Shadow's odds of winning would've been much higher. Plus, Mewtwo could've just teleported all over the place until Super Shadow wore off. TKHulk (ToonamiKusagari) my issue is that rooster teeth can just say who would win and literally nobody can argue with it. Death Battle shouldn't do same series 1 on 1 fights. I would've made Carolina vs Pyrrha to celebrate both RvB season 14 as well as RWBY vol 4. And while I firmly believe that Carolina stomps Pyrrha (unless her armour is magnetic) it would be a better fight as it's not same series but even then rooster teeth could still settle the matter themselves. In the end it doesn't matter, I like the meta, I like Carolina and I like RvB so I'll watch it, enjoy it and all that

Oh, by the way, they released a "10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Death Battle" video, and they revealed that they actually asked Shadow's voice actor to give a worse performance than last time, to better match Shadow's "unique" voice acting in Sonic Adventure 2. xD

The reason for the voice acting, particularly shadow, was because that the voice actor was told to mimic shadow from sonic adventure 2. Also they did a shadow vs Vegeta cameo ( I believe) at the end when Mewtwo said "sayonara" that is the same thing Vegeta said said before he killed Shadow

Just for clarification light speed isn't fast enough to be faster than time as time in the the measurement of things existing so even at light speed things are still existing and moving even if it is very slowly. But it's so fast it is like being able to shop time. Couldn't find comments explaining this. So yeah.

I would like to point out that Shadow's memory loss was not caused by the fall, but was explicitly removed by Dr. Eggman in an attempt to convince Shadow that he was a robotic clone of the original. Also, Shadow _has_ overcome mind control on his own. All that being said, I think that information would only even the odds a bit more.

Actually, I find that it would completely turn the tables on Mewtwo. Even with just game Shadow he's been able to resist mind control without even much of a struggle and even against Mewtwo he would most likely have had only a few seconds which is enough to induce a chaos control which automatically wins him the fight since I'm pretty sure time manipulation can easily outdo psychic powers unless someone wants to say that Mewtwo has time based abilities. In any case, this death battle really screwed up this time. I disliked the "meme" battle with DK and Knux but bringing Shadow back for a death battle against an opponent that was better suited for another psychic like Silver just to kill him off pathetically was ridiculous. It was a waste of a filler death battle

Cesar Pena Just because Shadow can overcome mind control does not mean he is immune to memory erasing (which has happened to him twice by non-psychics) or mind reading. Even so, I don't know what Mewtwo could do to counter Chaos Control, so that is why I said it would even the odds.

SalaComMander Its not just the fact that he can overcome mind control but rather that he resisted and easily overcame an attack on his mind. Black Doom used mind control to pretty much paralyze him without even lifting a finger yet Shadow was able to break it without much resistance once he found his resolve to fight back. Trying to erase someone's memory can be considered an attack on the mind and Shadow has shown some resistance against such attacks. At the end of the day, any sort of mind manipulation is the same since it all can be described as a mind attack. The differing factor is what the attack is targeting specifically. Of cousre, that's when conscious. Though I'm not entirely sure if Shadow was conscious or not when he lost his memory after his fall from space as that is a major factor as well

SalaComMander Its an invasion of one's mind, although I will admit that mind reading is more subtle and less easily detected except for those who knowingly put up mental defenses. Plus, while Shadow probably couldn't detect something as simple as having his mind read, the second Mewtwo would attempt to erase his memory is where the line starts to blur on what would happen. On one hand Mewtwo would possibly be able to erase something vital but on the other Shadow would possibly be able to resist it for an opportunity to strike back. I guess it all depends on certain circumstances

Hey Ris, if you haven't watched RWBY, can you do a Let's Watch RWBY? It is an internet series that I enjoy and I think that you might enjoy it as well. If you ever decide to watch it, keep in mind that in the first season, they had a low budget which made some of the animation be okay but later season it reallly improves. This was a rather short Death Battle...but it makes sense, going by that analysis. Mewtwo would loose a porolongued fight, and only wins, because he can defend against them pre-emptively. MAYBE they should have done a larger fight, only to then pull back and reveal, that was Mewtwos prediction. Fun Fact: In their "10 things you didn't know about Death Battle" video, they revealed Takahata101 had to voice shadow especially bad for this episode, since the voice acting in Sonic Adventure 2 (where most of Shadows background is located) was very bad.

So from what I understand, the Red vs. Blue universe has nothing to do with the halo universe. Rooster teeth just used the halo games as a way of animating their show so they look the same as the Spartans from halo but other then that there are no similarities.

To be fair, I guess they don't go into detail on those things because they know that it won't entirely help in the fight. I'm sure they're aware of the information that they leave out but they don't put it in the fight probably because it wouldn't give a distinct advantage and they probably wanted to give the animator an easier job. But that's more of a hypothesis than fact

This was a good fight even though Shadow lost again but what can you do? But as for the next time with Agent Carolina and The Meta, it is an episode of Red vs. Blue Season 14 but Death Battle's take on Red vs. Blue. So in a shorter way of explaining the next time, it is kinda like a crossover with Red vs. Blue and Death Battle.

On the bright side, when one of them wins, people can't say ScrewAttack is giving preferential treatment to RoosterTeeth like they did in the Tifa vs Yang fight. On the downside..... people are calling it preferential treatment regardless because it's two RT characters in one death battle. It's just impossible for them to please anyone.
