Thanks very much for that.Finding the third triplet a challenge to get up to speed.Keep wanting to go B flat--G--C,which is so much easier than B flat(bent to C)--C--G,which have to be separately picked, but I'll persevere!!

Unbelievable! Watching you I'm right with you playing the licks or maybe adding to of them, but I do not know tablature, after almost 45 years playing, my dumbass never learned tablature.! I Guess Never too late!? I had a conversation with Stevie Ray Vaughan he told me he fell asleep in theory class. You don't think when you play.

@@paulgriffiths3613 man I think it's great you know exactly the terminology of what he's doing. Very cool. Where I don't know any of the terminology but I I am easily keep up with him and his playing, and even add to what he's doing. But unlike you I don't know WTF to call it! But I've been at it almost 45! Your way way ahead! You will continue to get better and better! I wish I could be a youngster again there so much good stuff on the internet!

Over 30 years ago (was about 7 years old) my dad bought me a cd-player & he gave me two albums that he said would make me understand good music. He gave me Made In Japan by Deep Purple & Still Got The Blues with Gary Moore. When I heard the riff on Still got the blues I was blown away. It’s one of the most beautiful melodies ever made.

Perfect! I stumbled onto this one! As a guitarist who loves playing in the style of Alvin Lee with Stevie Ray Vaughan influence this is perfect! Gary Moore is very much reminding me of Alvin Lee Style. similar picking techniques but obviously different in .pattern/ Lee did, I'm going home, 60s Gary Moore Style the Nimble double picking remind me Alvin thanks! You know me, CC!! I'm like the TrueFire/Corey Congilio savant but.....with great reason and heart!! This is hardly Corey's first foray into Gary Moore-ism!! Go waaay back a decade or so to CC's fantastic "50 Progressive Blues Licks" and his Lick #31. Change up this definitely equally cool lick into the key of C and combine forces!! I feel like a Betty Crocker cookbook but if the shoe fits (and here I say it does) then wear it!! I know I definitely shall!! 50 Progressive Blues Licks has always been a great launchpad for me and here's a great example why!! Jim C.

There are certain players that I feel like I can boil down to a single word. For Stevie I'd say intensity. For Gilmour I'd say phrasing. For B.B. I'd say restraint. For Gary Moore I'd say aggression. He literally seemed like he was purposely attacking every single note he played.

Corey I picked out the notes due to your playing it slowly, Thanks. I can't get the speed yet as my fingers tend to move in habitual patterns of regular licks I play. What I feel would really help, & this is just for your consideration, is being able to hear it at a slower speed with backing as well as the fast speed so as to be able to work towards the actual note placement. Somehow when playing the lick slowly it's hard to hear it in context in my mind. Does that make sense? Actually ignore that. I found I could slow the whole vid down in settings. I'll leave the comment up in case anyone else may be wondering the same thing.

Could you please tell me what software you use to slow down your backing track? And what software are you playing the backing track on? Two questions Cory: is the neck on your beautiful new guitar that wider dimension that you prefer? And also, I notice you’re using your ring finger rather than your little finger for your 4 fret bends bends. Is that a personal preference or do you recommend that for most people?

Cory- I don't remember how I ran across you lessons but you are awesome! I am a retired music teacher and have been playing a LOT more guitar. you are very clear and organized with clear goals (sorry my teacher background) Anyway please do a video on how you approach performing. Mental approach prep working with a band soloing stepping out front. This is really another aspect of guitar playing that advanced players really master or fail at. My guitar teacher in college (Peter Mayer) has always been a role model for me but you have a whole different approach that is interesting and probably why you are as respected as a side man. But I know you have that out front aspect you are developing-Go for it and thanks for the lessons!!!
