Nice work! Summer running is tough, though thankfully it gets easier as you heat acclimate. I volunteered this past weekend at a trail race out here in Cuyamaca SP on Sat and it was 95F. I was so glad I wasn't running 😅 It was warm just helping runners with ice, water bottles, etc. Nevermind running 50K out there.

Racing in this heat is brutal... thanks for volunteering. Volunteering in this heat is not easy either!!! I am volunteering for training run for the people training for Philadelphia Marathon

Huge respect for doing that half marathon, Suzie! That looked incredibly tough. I'm pretty well cooked if I stay out much past an hour lately. But I'm trying to remind myself that I'm putting out consistent effort so my aerobic fitness ought to be quite good, and that it will be there for me when things cool off even if I can't show it right now in these conditions. This summer is as rough as any that I can remember. All the best for your big marathon/ultramarathon training program! P.s.: I agree with your husband.😁

This summer has been VERY rough. And yes rough humid and hot means fall PRs. I heard on a podcast recently that biologically, it's the same as running in altitude. And thanks!! Now that my husband mentioned it I have actually been noticing myself. I am the worst for noticing this stuff

@@IRunThings Yes, I hope you get some great PRs this fall. Alas, mine from 25+ years ago are sure to survive the year.😄And you're right, changes to our bodies happen so gradually that we often don't notice them--in either direction, I can tell you. Have a great weekend!

When I'm drenched like that, I like to squeeze the sweat out of my shirt to make my family say "GROSS". I'm trying to read more also. I'm only on my second book though. Both are by local authors. On to your next video to hear about your ultra marathon.

I am currently on my 8th book. I got a little stuck on number 7. It was very sad and depressing, and I didn't like the ending at all.

I watched your hover video. Is there any reason why you are not using it in this video? Thinking about buying it but if it doesn’t seem like something you use all the time, wondering if I should spend the $479.

I love my Hover Air but i use it for B roll. I just didn't get it out this week. What are you planning on using it for?

There are many situations in which you cannot use the hover air. For example in a race scenario, because it would get confused with so many people around. It's ideal to film yourself running from the back, the front, or the sides, and if you hook it up with a microphone you can talk and it will film that too. However every time you have to start and atop filming, you have to stop and wait for it to either take off or land. Whereas an insta360 you just push a button, no reason to stop
