This songs comforts me. My daughter was killed in a traffic accident almost 3 years ago (April, 2017). As a mother I kept asking over and over "where is she?" I am learning to let the mystery be--and return to this song over and over as needed.

Yes Natalie, the sound engineer that laid down this track with these artists, deserves more than a Grammy. I've watched / listened to this in high-def on Spotify and I can say with certainty it may be the most profound recording I've ever heard in my 50+ years of being an audiophile. Even more impressive is he accomplished it in someone's home, not in studio !!

It's very possible Iris never wanted "much more fame" - the compromises that seem obligatory in achieving fame and fortune seem inimicable to her in my opinion. I would posit she deserves exactly the level of fame and fortune she wishes, whatever that might be.

Oh yes, this is what I seem to Know :) The NDE's -some of which just cannot be doubted, are enough evidence that there is something. But if not (if a 'scientist' thinks that is merely 'the lack of oxygen', when what about those when were actually dead for a while and came back!? Many 'Scientists' are not really rational, but support their materialist viewpoint quite irrationally! But, failing that, we have our own being to delve into... I think we all know it unconsciously, I would wager... But it may be deeply buried..! Some of my own evidence, and I am no 'New ager', or Buddhist/Hindu, is that past lives have come tome when I was working on current problems... I was not and still don't seek them out! And it is almost also like it is 'not me' as well! But like the song suggests, it is still good to keep an open mind and let people believe what they want to :)@@loriosterweil982

Iris - Reached 75 yrs. Can't recall ever not being in love with her after first hearing this delightful voice that always carried a message I could feel, understand but never personally met anywhere in any other woman, as life went on. My only regret is that we never met and never destined to whisper in my ear or allow me to see, smell, touch a girl I believed to be a perfect woman . . . the kind that chuckles and forgives when a fart slips out . . .

This version of "Let The Mystery Be" was the opening theme music for some episodes of the 2014 mini-series "The Leftovers". I had never hear the song before, so I searched for it on KZbin. I love the song because it reinforces my belief that life and death are mysteries which may or may not ever be solved.
