LETHALITY JINX Build is Taking Over...

On Runaan, the other day I saw the BEST argument for it (even given all of your very thoughtful considerations): "if I didn't want more explosions, I wouldn't be playing a character with a rocket launcher". This just ends the discussion.

After testing this, the strong thing about this build is that it's really good for getting picks with the ult into squishy team comps. Into comps with 4-5 low armor carries, the ult can pretty much kill anyone below 40% which means that it's so easy to pick off fed carries when comboed with ally CC. The amount of burst the build has really catches players off guard because they are so used to playing around just hero autos and not the abilities as much. Just the W + R combo does like 80% of many champs' HP by itself. When combied with team pressure, that makes it really easy for your team to follow up on your plays, and you on theirs .

what you say is true but like when everyone was building kraken pd during kraken era, kraken ie was way better like now in comparison: The lethality build is not optimal atm due to people refusing to test, ie first gives more dmg on abilities and autos, opportunity rush as cheap item is not bad but if playing for 3 or 2 items remember that ie -> collector -> ldr compared to opportunity instead of ie gives you 10 percent less ability dmg but 28 percent more auto dmg/dps. therefore opportunity collector or opp ie is only a bit better as a cheaper item spike and allows you to hit ldr a bit faster. If you are vs low hp targets and have good cc it is ok but ie collector is much more consistent in that scenario.

I havent played a lot of lethality jinx yet, but my first thoughts in NA diamond elo was lethality gives me so much more early game power and control over the game, and I'm able to find more windows of time in the game to deal more damage outside of only in full teamfights or AOE crits in minion waves. To me it felt incredibly better in actuality over the theory of the 2 builds. I agree however that crit can do more damage overall and be used against all types of comps, but the difference is going to be challenger positioning, proper team alignment with front-to-back fights, proper rotation timings and vision, etc. In diamond, I'm more likely to be forgotten and left to 1v1 duel a draven and need to W-R snipe my laner solo and win through solo means and if I dont, then I sure hope the team played well while I was left weaksided for so long. But anyway, thats just my thoughts on it. More props to the people who manage typical AS Crit builds in this meta tho. I'm too bad to make it work consistently and feel like I'm praying for the right moment in game to happen and the stars to align finally. Lethality makes me feel like I have a fighting chance against MF, Jhin, and Draven even in solo situations. So tldr, all I'm going to say, is I feel like lethality is more rewarding for improper play and quick trade bursts, and thats going to be me and how I play in most cases lol.

This is spot on and exactly how I feel. Realistically, lethality Jinx FEELS a lot better in the chaos of solo queue and gives you more agency throughout the game and gets you to your power spikes way easier. Not to mention collector lets you secure kills and gives you bonus gold. I feel like a fair balance is to make the final item Runaans (even if you need to sell boots late game for a slot) but starting lethality works really really well tbh

You make a lot of good points, I'm enjoying the lethality build but lately I've been buying runaans more and more and I just don't think opportunity is even worth it in comparison. I'm gonna try collector (I've become addicted to the execute I love it) into runaans and then IE or a lw item depending on enemies. Love the video and I've been learning a lot from your other educational ones as well

You should compare the first levels between the builds until the 2 item power spike, u should compare between them way more than comparing between the compete builds because jinx scales anyway, and while she actually loses some scaling if she went lethality but we don't even reach late game as u said. But yeah for sure crit overall more consistent and more scaling

People are weird thinking Opportunity is in anyway good on Jinx or in anyway better than the other Jinx builds. Collector is okay I guess since it's a crit slot anyway, but seriously...people are silly. This is just Saber though, imo. He always does this. I'm fairly certain it's just content. He's CONSTANTLY doing x new KR build and hyping it up.

Perhaps I just don’t understand the math behind each stat but the percentage based values such as AS or Crit chance/dmg seem better than the flat numbers with lethality and AD

Collector is dangerous as hell, i change my first item for Ashe, now my kill rate is like 3x time more than before, ofcourse people 3x time more, complain about "KS".. its kinda funny, i am in shock too.

dude I agree! he makes a lot of good points and has convinced me to get runaans every game now but I dont want to give up collector...the amount of times I get a kill with it when they would have gotten away with a sliver is surprisingly high, plus the build path is just so much better. Maybe IE third?

In season 6/7 i used to build just BF and then straight to full runaan than back to infinity edge, do you think this can work in modern days?

😂 I just found out yesterday how broken runaans is on jinx. I didn't know that her rockets aoe would stack like that. That is so absurd.. 😂😂😂 If i rush runaans i always have the highest gold in the game. 2-3000 more gold than enemy team.

although runaans is so fun to use + rly strong, id recommend against getting it first item since it doesnt give any ad so you'll just be tickling with your 500 rockets, so id say get it second item

There is not a single stage of the game where you're stronger with the lethality build, exept for 1 item spike but at that point just go Kraken if you want to spike 1 item so badly, or even better just dont play Jinx

Well sort of, but ie with boots and dorans does around 295 dps on 50 armor at lvl 10, kraken does 293 to 320 based on missing health, that is being generous since this is considering you end on third auto and you never get max damage since it is overkill. So lets say autos average with kraken is around 300, 5 more dps with just autos is negligible. Ie abilities hit much harder too so it is a better first item spike, only issue is the build path. If you want best single target dps you get it second after ie which gives you around 11 percent more dps than ie into pd, but runnans value most games is to great to pass imo.

@@ner0ide1 Yeah both Collector and Kraken are just bad compared to IE > Runan's. Going Kraken/Collector means you're not gonna have either IE or LDR/Mortal in your first 3 items anyway, that's the main reason you just have to go IE first.
