They truly mastered the art of going for a softer sound without losing the integrity and passion. They didn't abandon the anger.If you read the lyrics you'd see that they're as angry as ever, they just found a different way to channel that anger. Really didn't think that i would say this but this is the masterpiece of their career.

+Giruga x Hakusho What!? , I was about to say that it's exact same thing about Sempiternal by them, that's what they did , change their style for sure but this is by far their best one powerful in all the way with beautiful melody! I listen to Letlive for the first this is amayzing, I don't come saying" take note " to any other band. I end this kindly by saying it's your choice,but BMTH is a really good band who diserve as much respect for their work as LetLive I am sure ✌

[Verse 1] There's no way my mother can still love me The way my father, my father said she did More like a brother to the others But to my sister I am nothing but another stunted stick When you're birthed by seven women over thirteen days Superstitious happy endings seem further away than you may want to believe Although my brother is sleeping with our greatest enemy We still love him like we did when we were kids But if another or my brother meets that reaper early There will be nothing that can stop revolution [Pre-Chorus] Now my mouth keeps running, but it's running in place And the mask I used to wear is now becoming my face There's no way I will be saved [Chorus] I learned to love myself I learned to love my self-abandonment (Fear cannot exist within the plan) And if I feel myself, I learn to do it with a touch of death I learned to love myself I learned to love my self-abandonment (Fear can not exist within the plan) So when you feel yourself, you should be careful with a touch of death [Bridge] And now my brother is screaming "Jason, can you love me The way you never even acted like you did? You see the problem, I see it, with being so damn empty Is that you're running when you're completely full of shit" [Pre-Chorus] When your mouth keeps running to a dangerous place [?] When your rain hits, it's pouring on me, it's pouring on me [Chorus] I learned to love myself I learned to love my self-abandonment (Fear can not exist within the plan) And if I feel myself, I learn to do it with a touch of death I learned to love myself I learned to love my self-abandonment (Fear can not exist within the plan) So when you feel yourself, you should be careful with a touch of death I learned to love myself I learned to love my self-abandonment (Fear can not exist within the plan) And once you feel it all, it's all you say and I'm okay with that
When your mouth keeps running to a dangerous place Can you even call it lost if you dont want to be saved When your rain hits, it's pouring on me, it's pouring on me

i saw them at rock city when i went to see Pierce The Veil.... OMG, they were great. best part is he went up on the balconey and got a member of the crowd to hold him whilst he leaned off it to keep singing and even stoped the concert to help get someone out of the front who was getting crushed and brought her on stage!!!! hes amazing

I've been a aware of Letlive since pre-'Speak Like You Talk' and a fan ever since "SLYT' came out, seeing them at local shows around South Bay Califoria (Torrance, El Segundo, San Pedro, etc..). The appeal to me anyway was always the uniqueness and energy in their style/sound. And of course the fact that post-hardcore has almost always been my favorite type of music, and once 'Fake History' came out my mind was blown. And then 'The Blackest Beautiful'!!?? Hot damn.. The fact they didn't just write another great album without one dull moment insured me this was a band that was going to keep this up and add some spin each time. Then "If I'm the Devil.." comes out and besides it obviously being well written, I mean the songs are great, its just not the letlive I signed up for years ago. BUT, I get it, and I'm not going to hate. Punk is a mindset. And lyrically these songs are still punk in the sense that they have meaning and stand for something. Remember, people change, lots of things change, and letlive simply made a consious decision to take a different route with their sound. I see why some aren't happy with this choice but it is what it is. I still support letlive.

Sorry, but the album as a whole is one boring piece of shit, i'm completely dissapointed, and i've been a fan for several years now. I mean, this is pretty much the definition of an identity crisis (a boring one), and I can even say that it sounds like a fucking watered down Linkin Park album but with a better singer. I'm all in for changes in sound, and i've never wanted a Fake History part 2 or anything, but this is definitely not the way to go. At least others are enjoying it, and well, good for them. The only thing I admit liking, are the lyrics. They're some of the best Jason's ever written, other than that, yikes.

+Luis Faraudo Although you're not a fan of this album, at least you'll always have a couple that you love. I can see why you wouldn't like it, as I've seen it happen countless times over the years. One of my favorite bands to date, Poison The Well used to completely change every album. Used to drive me nuts! lol
@thebaconflapsable8 жыл бұрын
I see where you're coming from as it's evidently very different, but to me it shows that they aren't afraid of pushing boundaries. The lyrics are just as amazing if not better than the previous records, vocals always kick ass and the album musically, is just as powerful as any of their others. It's not as chaotic but it's just as intense and I think it's their best album to date and the best direction for them to go. This is how a band evolves (talking about real evolution not those kids who try to protect their favourite bands when they suddenly write a pop album) their sound correctly.
