Your personality is so much fun!!!! I have fine hair, I'm growing out my blonde hair color and currently wearing a crochet style. I want to continue letting my hair grow, I don't want to take time to style it and I don't want to pay anyone to do it for me. I'm learning about why people get sisterlocks and I see why: they don't care to be bothered with having to do hair!! Just like me. I want to get up and go! No more 3 hours on wash day. Because my hair is fine, I invest a lot of time and attention in it, and it STILL looks like nothing. Loose natural hair sucks.
@chic6193 жыл бұрын
I do know your pain! Loose natural is hard from any perspective too. You should join us in the land of hair freedom. It t takes me longer to put on my lashes then to do my hair. Chile. I absolutely love it. The only thing that I hate is that I didn't do it sooner & that I didn't have enough hair to have a real side pont-t-tail.

Hey Chic 619 your locs are flourishing I see the growth and thickness coming in. I’m also a newbie Sisterloc’d for 6 mos with thin fine low density hair. I’m also experiencing scalp tenderness after reties. My head feels sore for 2 days after Retie. Not extremely painful but like u just got fresh braids and locs are close to scalp. I also appreciate my Sisterlocs after 2 weeks of the Retie. The locs flow better get a little fussy frizzy and look fuller. I don’t like seeing all my grid parts lol. Hair is looking gooodt and definitely filling out. My first set of locs I had for almost 9 yrs but started over bc I felt like they were thinning out. Now partly bc of lack of management, part bc of styling and part bc of my genes. But what I would like to recommend to you is the hair skin and nail vitamins (advanced formula) by Nature’s Bounty. @earljoi143 жыл бұрын
The inflammation that happens after retightening is causing your tenderness. Ask your loctician to go 1 fewer rotation. Also try 5 -6 weeks instead of 4. With your hair being so fine over time you might continue to gain length but your thinning will worsen. I see you growing and flowing though and I love your energy.
@chic6193 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the advice. I don't think it's her, I think it's me. I had my hair up in 2 little buns & the way my head was like "NOPE" . The way the little baby schrunchy was just on there so loose, but my head just don't want to be touched, not even right now. I think it might be the meds for the hyperthyroidism that makes my head tender. I cannot do 5 weeks for sure. I've done that 2 times & it is super thin. I'll ask her to go one less & explain to her what I am experiencing. It's not horrible like getting braids, just a tanch of tenderness 🤣🤣🤣

@Brownmahfun3 жыл бұрын
I JUST WANNA SAY. Maybe you should try waiting an extra week or two before reties because your hair is still being traumatized by the pulling even tho she is gentle. It will give your scalp more time to heal. Also I know your pony tails are not tight but wait a couple weeks after retie before you do one, with these things you will get even thicker hair.
