Looks great! On your little stool under your sewing machine, you could add wheels to a sturdy piece of wood on the bottom. It would make it higher and easier to pull out.

i love the window, i always wanted a bay window. I love the decorative jars and boxes. Careful with the jars and such on the window sill the sun will fade them. Maybe put your sewing machine on your island and then you wouldn’t need that table. If your island was central and your chair has wheels, you could move around it. Any how just a couple of ideas. Looking good so far.

Well, there's certainly something to be said about a fresh approach and a fresh start! It looks like you've got a great start on one! I can identify as I've moved from a great place i in the city to an amazing place in the forest this last year and have been working to set my studio up again. It's lovely and inspiring...and I keep moving things around all the time! One of these days, I'll be settled, but meanwhile I'm choosing to enjoy each day for what it is and keep moving forward! I know you've been doing that as well - and my prayers are with all of you! I'm proud of you!

Reminds me of my art area! I'm in a very small one bedroom apartment. So all of what is suppose to be my dining room (merges into living room) is where most of my supplies are. I have a standing height table in there to work on. The the better half of my living room also has supplies. One chair with a folding table in front of of it for me to eat at & work on as well. I have what's suppose to be a walk-in closet near my front door that's full of assemblage art supplies! I geuss you learn to make do with what you have. I'm just glad I even have this space. You are such a good mum to give up a larger space, all to make your daughter more comfortable. ❤️

Great job! TFS! I love what you've done. You do you and organize your space in a way that works for you. Everyone crafts different and organizes different. One size doesn't fit every crafter or craft room. Over time your style might change and you'll feel the need to change some things up...until then enjoy your new space. 🌺🌺🌺

Oh Tina! I totally relate to what you’re doing. I am continually reorganizing my craftroom. I was using different size baskets to store things but then fell in love with wooden boxes that I have retrofitted with cute little vintage-like drawer pulls. Now what to do with the baskets!I think collecting storage and organizing items is as much a hobby as junk journals! You’re doing wonderfully and it’ll all come together in due time!

Hey Tina just an idea when it comes to your paper towel hanger that you have your ribbons on you could put a ring on it and it be a big enough ring to wrap your ribbons spool on the ring and hook it to the paper towel holder

Happy to have a tour of your craft room, Tina! I do have a couple of suggestions, but please take or leave them. What I love: Supplies on hooks, bigger ones behind cabinet doors, your stamp storage, Heather’s tins, and IKEA type things! Suggest: the footprint for hat boxes and the large glass apothecary jars is big. Some don’t hold much. I would keep a couple of each and replace with smaller storage that stack. You have lots of flowers; maybe purge the large ones and put the rest in other containers that won’t crush easily, even large plastic bags that zip or some such. Rotate inspiration art and move the rest to one of the spots in a cupboard or another room. Finally, consider getting rid of these big letters. I believe they are in 3 or 4 places which could be better utilized. Just things to consider! I hope we are still friends 😃. Form vsFunction is always a hard call! 💕💕

Thank you so much Gladys, I really appreciate your brilliant points and suggestions. You are definitely right about lots of things, especially the letters, I really need to get rid of at least some of them……don’t know why it is so hard to get rid of things even though I know deep down that I won’t be using them again? 🤭. Of course we’re still friends, I love your taking the time to make suggestions xx

So far I’m just finding a home for everything, then onto organizing. Kinda looks like your space, just put it as you had it will clean it up and organize as time allows (does that day ever come- ? 🤣🙃🤪). I love your mini craft drawers 😍 and I love jars (if we don't see it, we don't have it 🙈) . Good file hanger, mine is fabric🤦. You have some gorgeous boxes 😍. I hate having 'misc' 🙈. Lol I spot lots of striped ribbon. I need wall shelves for more jars lol. Lovely picture😍. Yes it's remembering where we tidied stuff into 🙊. My printer is for small businesses have is fantastic, it's has a great A3 scanner. I'm sure we could be utilising our ceiling for handy storage but haven't thought of it yet 😄. Cool kitchen roll hanger! Oh I had my ribbons hanging on rods but they ended up unravelling once opened and made a mess 🙈 they're in a big jar again now 😄. 👏👏👏👏 well done honey bunny you've managed so much and it's looking fab 😍. And all those beautiful boxes and the purse boxes with handles they are adorable..Tina I think you have done a great job with what space you have, and your craft room looks cozy and comforting to me❤️ Like another subbie said be careful with what you place in the window cause the sun will fade things very quickly..I would hate for the backs of your journals to get faded or any of your other treasures.. Great job that you and your sweet children did together!! Thank you for the tour and sharing your new craft with us,can't wait for tour part 2.. Your room is looking good and it's great you have what you need right at your hands, I also try to keep what I use most closer then further away, but there are times when I must get up, as I said yesterday loving your bay window and happy now you won't be hot you can open the windows and get a wonderful breeze. FYI; Be careful with your sewing machine getting direct sunlight daily over time it will start to turn yellowish, I had my Singer's Quantum in front of a window for many years, and never paid attention that the color had changed it had the cover but I was sewing so much I just like it off and now it's discolored. So just purchase a cover for brand if you wish, or let the blinds down! Thanks for sharing ): lol don't know how to do my normal emoji from my new laptop. Take Care

One thing I did to stay organized is to take pictures of small sections of your craft room, and print them out and attach to the corresponding area. Then you can see where you got whatever materials you used for a project and be able to put it back in the correct place. Once you’ve permanently established where things go, label the box or shelf of what’s inside. Easier said than done, haha! Thank you again for helping us imagine where you are while crafting. It’s all so very interesting to me!

Wow! Really you are progressing so well at working with a small space. I love the idea of the jars so I will be off today to look for cute glass jars to store all my little bits and pieces and ribbons! I too love collecting hat boxes (at least I think thats what they are called). They are so beautiful stacked in your room. My biggest problem is purchasing digitals and then printing them all out immediately. I have stacks of paper around me LOL. Im trying to get that under control. And I have also started collecting beads and charms not only to make jewelry but originally to make dangles for my journals. Of course I had to have it all and now I am wondering what is wrong with me. LOL Neither here nor there your room is coming together wonderfully and I am sure with your decorating skills it will not only be functional but wonderful to see.

Hi tina Congratulation with your New room. I have only looked so fare as to your2. Box of lettere.... you do need to let go of some of Them... you will never use all of Them in your life time and it could be the beginning of learning how to let go of things. Also the good things that we can see the possibilitie in, but never have time to use. And then they tings, become oure bad conscience, everytime we look at Them. Try to let go of half of the tings you have and see that your creativty grove.

It’s really nice, Tina, & I’m so excited for you to have a real room to yourself! I love all your big round lidded boxes, they look great stacked like that! Your glass jars are gorgeous & they will gleam & glitter in the sunlight! When you have a moment, you may want to wash them all but I always love the look of gleaming glass. I do mine about twice a year (or before someone important visits!!) True confessions!! I think that nice big window will do wonders for your emotions, it’s so nice to see the sun & sky! Wow Tina! Looking great! It will be so nice to have everything so close by! Love the huge window! Looks like you have a lot pretty well organized! I’m sure as you work you will have a better idea of where you want certain things!

Thank you for sharing this. I’d keep the window stack of circle boxes clearer, more light. Why not put the three boxes with art journal supplies in backstock (another room). Put a date on it. If you don’t use it after a year, get rid. Put two of the newsprint rolls flat under a bed for storage. Good luck, you’ve done so much work. ❤️❤️❤️

Great change.....but old habits r hard to break...honestly r u ever going to use all of your stash? Stand back...have an eval. Of w your eyes r drawn to. Focal point of w u love arranged in a horizontal line....also can u store some of your "storage items" n start afresh with simple, matching storage? Your inspiration journals r hidden....maybe on the shelf.along the wall u will have? Do your products have to be seen? I know your space is limited. Also categories together n not scattered. Glass jars r great but take a lot of room....I'm sorry to be critical but I U need to make wise use of your space..for me...it's very cluttery. Everything is hidden that may be special n great focal points on that horizontal plane....Again old habits r hard to break. IKEA has great storage for putting all "kinds" together. Of course projects together....but organized n handy by your desk. If u don't like or use anything e.g. printers....sell or give away....I love to clean out, so I like to keep things simple. It would be good to make your workspace more open thruout. Your punches r "hogging" space that cud be better utilized. Sorry but have a clutter of ribbons on the paper towel holder?
