I agree please film every page, it is interesting to see how you create your collages, what papers you use and what the fi al outcome is. Also when you are isolated like we are (me living out in the middle of nowhere) it’s nice to be able to hear another person talk, listen to what they are doing. It’s like having a friend in the room. Having watched your previous video I have started to create my own master board book, it’s quite relaxing sitting down and getting into a gluey mess.

I like these background pages. Espically the pink and brown one. You're totally right about the Tupperware cupboard. Mine was so neat when I unpacked after moving almost a year ago. Today I dont even want to put the things I just washed away. They are sitting on the counter. I look at them and say to myself " I should put those away" and just walk on by lol !!!

You kept that small brown butterfly because you had a creative use in mind. This is a really nice project. I have some Uline catalogs that woulds be nice to use. I have used the glue stick to glue 3 pages together. I think I will need to remove some pages (set of 3 glued together) simply to reduce the volume of the book. Of course I will use the torn pages to make long masterboards, which I roll up and they work remarkably well. I use color themes, subject themes, complete rainbow themes, and they all work wonderfully. My granddaughter loves to help me choose from the torn bits that I set aside for that project. I love the photo of you and your daughter on Etsy, She certainly looks happy, and you are beautiful, as always. Thanks for the fun!

I am so grateful to my girlfriends that got me into crafting! Can’t imaging like with paper! M,y first experience of making something with paper, was a greeting card. It had a bicycle and butterflies on it! Then we heat embossed a sentiment on a strip of paper. Magic! But the greatest gift of crafting and comradeship with girlfriends is how well it relaxes the mind. You see I was dealing with breast cancer at the time, (fully recovered now) and in the two hours we were crafting I noticed not once did I think about the cancer. I laughed. I was amazed at what I created with bits of paper. Lovely gifts this paper crafting! However, we are hardwired to need other people. Crafting does take energy. We gather this energy from others, going out into the world, gathering and being inspired by ideas. So with the energy sucker situation we are all dealing with, I mean our very lives are threatened, the mind might tell you to sit down and creat something, but your body tells you that you are in survival mode and very little energy left for crafting! Some days, I feel accomplished just because I got dinner on the table. Your videos are so important. At the very least we can pretend that your hands are our hands and we are tucking away for a better day, all of the bits of creativity and knowledge you share. Thank you for sharing!
@shabbydabbydoodah4 жыл бұрын
Firstly Lauren, I am so pleased that you are fully recovered now, much love and well wishes for the future. Secondly, yes I also thank my friend who introduced me to paper crafting, also started with cards. It’s so important in my life now, I just couldn’t imagine life without it. Especially at this time, it really helps to take your mind off what is going on, and also bring like minded friends together x

No, you’re not alone with the dreaded Tupperware cupboard! I call it that and no longer have any actual Tupperware but the name has stuck.😊 Why do the lids always disappear? I love this idea and your pages are turning out lovely...that green one was gorgeous. With just starting out I don’t even have enough scraps to even do one. Maybe once I get the first journal done I can try this. Great chat this morning and a quite productive one for you. Stay well.

I am so enjoying this series. I was just thinking a book like this would make a fun gift for someone just starting out in either journal making or a similar craft. Many times in the beginning you don’t have the scrap stash to pull from, and this would be a welcome resource for them to use. That is, of course, if you could actually let it go!

Hi Tina, I love how this is turning out. I love watching you do this and enjoy your chatting. I watch while drinking my morning tea every morning. I agree with you, if I didn’t have my crafting, I would go crazy, especially now. Even before all of this, I said to my husband, what do retired people do all day if they don’t have a hobby? I can’t even imagine!! I had to laugh when you told us about your Tupperware cabinet! My Tupperware drawer is about the only thing organised in my kitchen 😂. The plates and bowls and glasses are as well, but the rest of the cabinets could definitely use a good straightening out. But what fun is that if I can craft?!? 🤣🤣. Stay safe and sending lots of hugs 🤗. I truely do enjoy your channel.

Hello thanks again for helping me thru this lockdown. I am in Chicago lost track of days in isolation but I will count them soon. I created just about everyday for years and since this situation I have not BUT I try everyday AND I will!!! This is a comment about Amazon: I quit them 3 + years ago. I have been able to find everything someplace else or a substitute. I found many amazing sources. It takes a bit of time but worth it for me I just cannot support Amazon they are too big too heartless. We all do what we have to do. LOL about going out a lot of work! Here in Chicago we call it playing PacMan ... you take care now. Toni

I’m loving this collage book idea. As far as Amazon goes, there are a bunch of independent sellers on there. And if anyone is price gouging, you can report them. I don’t think they can police every seller for price gouging. I’m not exactly sure who you report them too, but I’ve heard several people do it.

Terrible organization for the Tupperware in my home! I do, however, have enough glue. I have been doing a similar project using Large Print Reader's Digest pages. I use up my scraps and sometimes use the pages to practice adding stamped images using different inks. I wait until the book is finished, admire it, then start cutting up the pages to use a background collaged tags. It's amazing how beautiful it is to see what happens. I, too, love watching you collage and talking about your life in the UK. Stay safe and well.

Hi....The Range is still open - they sell pet food so are considered 'essential' - I know here they ask which department..... I was honest and said I need bird food (I have 4 budgies), and arts and crafts! I also got 12 bottles of strong PVA from Amazon for 9.00, downside being they are only 60ml each.

Hi Tina! May I make a suggestion that I believe would be helpful? (At least to me!). Would you consider, for newest subscribers like me, a review of your basics? For example, you recently taught me the importance of a dried out baby wipe. Shazam! I had been using the backs of napkins, tissues, paper towels....better be quick or I have a disaster! Bits of paper everywhere! Ugh! Not with dried out wipes! Two other mistakes I recently made with you...as you were tutoring us, I copied patterns onto paper and then coffee dyed them! Ugh! No pattern left! Speaking of printing digital prints, if I sent it to the printer from my IPad, black digi background would print with the pretties! If I send to print from my laptop to the printer, no problems! I even had trouble coffee dying paper...I noticed I rarely ended up with a sheet without a hole/tear in it! Ugh! So I adore you and your channel, went and purchased from your Etsy store...but I am newer and experiencing a lot of Ughs! Thank you for all you do and teach, I so appreciate you!
