Honestly, the cutest thing about the Loyal Ogrim and Kindly Isma fight is that when you defeat Isma, Ogrim dives up and grabs her in midair like he is sweeping her off her feet. Very adorable, and kinda smooth.

-i havent watched the full video yet- but, you should keep grubsong + weaversong because that causes the weavers to generate soul. which allows more glowing womb attacks and healing i also don’t think Chiptune can generate soul Chiptune does 11 damage glowing womb does 9 damage weavers do 3 damage per weaverling overall weaverlings and glowing womb is better because they can hit multiple foes and have good accuracy flukenest + defender creat usually turns your shade soul into a big grub that explodes into the dung smoke. i wonder how strong it would be with the new white defender charm sprintmaster also makes weaverlings move faster Thorns of agony suck i would not recommend using them Compass is the omnipotent charm that boosts all other charms by 1000% never take it off i swear i’m not lying /s ill keep editing this the more i find out

considering the fact that hatchlings from glowing womb don't physically change when using king's honour I don't think the creators of the DLC worked out king's honour's synergy with flukenest

11:20 Yeah, something very similar to this happened in your Kirby's Dreamland 2 letsplay; after spending an hour banging your head against the worst puzzle in the game, you continued playing, tired and angry, and went into the final boss! And your furious attempts to lunge in for damage coupled with your slower reaction time from your exhaustion made you headbutt Dark Swordsman a lot, only making you more angry and tired and adapt an overly careful play style which slowed the fight down further! Anger makes you a worse player almost universally. I will always love that you guys are so willing to work hard to deliver this content to us, but man! There is funny rage, like what you got when you fought Lost Kin, and then there is worrying rage, like what you got with Hegemol, and almost got here. Take care of yourselves, guys! And I acknowledge I may be wholly wrong, so if I an reading the room wrong, please ignore me!

And so Ian gets a taste of what Path of Pain is like for normal humans =) Cookie Run sounds way crazier than I ever would have thought it was. I had a feling it would be more than just a gauntlet of all five, but I wasn't sure how. Then Isma jumped in. Just to clarify about soul gain from babies, it's only from weaversong when paired with grubsong. Wow, yeah, this fight is crazy. As an outside viewer, I could see Ian improving each time, which was really cool to watch, and good job on beating the fight! I look forward to the stream!

Nice job finding that charm! The Champion's Call is an EXTREMELY hard challenge, and one of the main criticisms of this mod/DLC is that it is way too hard and the bosses do not have staggers or give you opportunities to heal, It's perfectly fine if you can't do it in one video lol. Again, there's one last thing you're missing in the Hall of Gods. Switch to your other save (the main, Grimm Banishment one, where you based your 1st HK playthrough on) just in case you haven't unlocked the secret on this one. Look through all the God statues, taking note of all the ones with two 'slots', like Hornet, Crystal Guardian, the Mantis Lords, and Nosk...you'll find that there's something new. That is literally all the spoilers I can give. I've also seen people recommending Hallownest Vocalized in the comments. All I have to say is YES PLEASE!

I think your criticisms on the champion's call are actually what makes it a really good mod...you're facing off against the 5 great knights, the ones who served the Pale King and together defeated another Wyrm...the whole difficulty of it, is that you're fighting these legendary warriors renound for their strength and skill

Nice work on Ogrim and Isma, they're quite an opener of the whole challenge :'D The Randomiser settings got a TON of fun new options in the recent years which are very fun to adjust and can get pretty crazy! I was so worried about how you kept going towards the hole before getting the bloom, since the Abyss of Pain is stressful (and I didn't know you could go back up through the hole) also still love this DLC...and pretty amazing how the charms from the knights make the player into the Pure Vessel...while the bloom makes the player into "Void given Form" also loved what they did with the champion's call background, as each boss shows up...the background transforms from their influence with Isma forming vines around the dung, and Ze'mer causing flowers to bloom on the vines

It's been so much fun seeing you guys get back into Hollow Knight! That last fight is definitely tough, I don't blame you for wanting to stream it. I don't expect a full series, but I would love to see you guys check out the Hallownest Vocalized mod! It would make a great one-off video or a stream. And lastly, there's one more secret waiting for you in Godhome. Check the statues closely; one of them might be different! It's not as dramatic a gameplay change as Hollow Point, but you might enjoy checking out the Lost Artifacts mod, which adds artifacts that you can find in the world and equip to your nail. Another one that might be fun to play around with is skill upgrades. There's also a lot of potential with randomizer with the amount of cursed settings you can turn on (both lost artifacts and skill upgrades are also compatible with randomizer). I've never played the Glimmering Realm mod, but I've heard its also fun. It re-arranges the assets and map to tell a new story.

Not sure if you two are aware of this, but a charm combo that I think works really well with the baby build is actually grub song, because the weavers get soul when they attack. This could be wrong, but for me, grub song has been my lord and savior ever since I acquired it, same with Weaver song.

Another day, another great episode from my favourite gaming channel! Have you guys ever heard of a game called "Inscryption"? It's a neat card, puzzle and horror game with some interesting lore (though there aren't actually all that many horror elements, nothing too scary anyway). I've gotten really into it recently and I think you'd both love it. Also, I can't wait for the OMORI playthrough! I'm really itching to see you two experience that, and the hype from the announcement that you're planning to play it among other games still hasn't died down for me! I believe I know what was happening with the horizontal momentum at that small alcove when you kept going right into the spikes. When you dashed through the shadow barrier and slashed downwards you hit both the spikes at the bottom and the shadow barrier to the left. Hitting both caused you to go both upwards and right at the same time, sending you into the spikes.

Hey, I guess this is specifically towards Ian, but have you ever considered going back to Rogue Legacy 2? The game has already released its final update a while ago and is now so refined from its early access days. It's easily one of my favorite indie games. The lore especially, despite its disjointed presentation, is genuinely so engaging, but gameplay kept me going for ages until I reached the true ending (hope the existence of a true ending isn't a spoiler). I think it could be a fitting follow-up once you have your Hollow Knight drive out of your system. Would love to see you and Casey play it.

Did you stream the rest of the mod anywhere because im having trouble finding it and I want to see you guys react to the secret bosses As for more mods i highly recommend taking a jab at rando again and at least see all the crazy things you can do with it. Theres also a mod called hallownest vocalized that gives voice acting to EVERYTHING and is definitely worth a playthrough (I would also personally recommend giving yourself dream nail at the start with debug, mostly for Hornet1) On top of that theres a new game+/game overhaul type mod that's in the works called Fyrenest as well as a "brand new game" mod called The Glimmering Realm that you guys might like if you want something fresh There's also just a crap ton of smaller but fun and qol mods that are just interesting

While I'm down to watch this as a let's play, I do agree this kind of content when it's essentially just doing the same thing over and over until you beat it would do better as a stream. Hollow Knight mods like this that add new content are fascinating to me because the base game is crafted SO WELL that mod content has an Uncanny Valley vibe to it. It's close, but ever so slightly off that it throws me for a loop.

Something. didn't like about this playthrough is the use of King's honour and baby build, every time i you complain about not being able to see, I'm just thinking "well yea, you just essentially threw a noise filter over the important bits of the screen, and the tick damage making everything just white too. So it ends up just being white on white!". Sorry, this was just a small nit pick, i've enjoyed your content for years, keep it up, you're doing really good!

it doesn't look like you will so here's the last few spoilers: Firstly after you beat Ogrim/Isma tag team, Hegemol, Dryya AND Ze'mer in Champiom's Call, Ze'mer at the end has a very hard second phase. I'm honestly rather glad of the fact that it seems you've spared yourselves the pain in that regard. However there is a secret boss in the mod, which is what all the comments about the Hall of Gods/pillars stuff was about: (go down for the final spoiler) It's Tiso, and having seen your amazing reaction to his cameo and death in Godhome in the initial HK playthrough I thought you'd have a lot of fun getting to actually fight him. Hopes a bit shattered but it's all fine :)

Rewatching, and I saw that the Mawlek pedestal in the Hall only has one slot (the secret boss isn't there). I think it's because you haven't experienced Tiso's full storyline in the base game...
