well, I was thinking of a method that he used in one of forgecraft series for his IC2 windmill, where he had an energy crystal move back and forth from the windmill and an MFSU using item conduits, rather than run cabling. I was thinking that he could do something similar, only with the ender chests serving as the item conduits here.

I automated obsidian using the serenade of the nether-ritual and a destrcutor from refined storage. That works nice, if you have enough LP coming in, which I did with a cursed earth trap above a tier 4 altar and an automated user with the sacrificing sword. Let'S see if Dire comes up with a better idea than that.

I dont't know, you should clarify your position with Endermens about the spawner or they will end up thinking the worst of it. Imagine the classic Endermen lookout finding your spawner room, it will jump to the wrong conclusions for sure. Keep up the great work as always!

@direwolf20 You CAN click the plus from the JEI recipie directly into the Processing Pattern Encoder, there's no need to make the output item first or have the ingredients in your inventory.

Wanna give a bug report and an advice to all direwolf20 pack users that are using the last beta (haven't tested the other ones). If you have a backpack (iron backpacks mod, using the quick deposit upgrade) equiped in your back (with the keybinding) sometimes you'll rightclick a block and the contents will be stored inside. that's not a big issue BUT if you're using the PACKING TAPE for some reason the usage is bugged (again, while having the backpack equiped) it will show up the sprite being "sealed" and waila/wawla as "sealed" the item will show up durability usage or even breaking but IT IS NOT (and once you click in the slot that contains/had the sealing tape it will give itself again the durability and if it was broken it will be given back). log out and log in again in the world and you'll see the correct sprites. but the only way to solve that is REMOVING THE BACKPACK BEFORE USING THE SEALING TAPE i learned it with a storage drawer that had 1 emerald upgrade and a void upgrade that was FULL of canola seeds. and it wasn't a good time at all...

DarkVoidIII i already did that. but i thought that even tho my computer is powerful breaking the drawer was PAINFUL and i thought that not everyone would have that computer and that issue could be a world killer. i was running the beta cause i had some bugs on the release itself and i was reccomended to move on the next beta, then found other bugs (all of them already reported) and i ended up with THIS bug that can be a serious issue for people. as i said breaking a "sealed drawer" that's full releases 2k entities (without upgrades) in a second in only one chunk. pretty bad for those that do not have the most powerful computers out there. it's now fixed in the 1.10.2.-3.5.16 version which has to be manually updated

Been enjoying the series so far. It's a bit late since you've got an angel ring, but one of the things I tried relatively early in your pack: try experimenting with dark armor with glider wings, and using the slime launcher from Tinkers. It's a pretty amazing way to get around. Also, I think we all know your struggle to design things in pretty ways, so I had an idea. Maybe put up some kind of contest on twitter or some other social site and let your followers compete to design things for you? Then you'd just have to reproduce it. Just some food for thought! Keep up the good work!

In my game, the sneaky false blocks allow mobs to spawn... the block beneath them has 0 light value, and the mobs also just walk through it. Looking at the wiki, the mobs walking through seems intentional. As far as the mobs spawning... i guess painted glowstone would fix it, but if the mobs can walk through it anyhow (also Ghasts can shoot through), I don't have much use for it other than secret doors or traps.

the ender does 10.5 atk damage while the old sword does 12.46 so either way it takes at least two hits to kill most mobs that are hostile. the only real improvement is the looting and recharging its durability with RF.

RFTools powercells are a much easier way of getting power to distant places and other dimensions than the dimensional transceiver, though they do take emeralds.

Dire go for the Endergenic Generators from RFTools. Properly tuned generators produce 15k rf/t from 1(!!!) Ender Pearle! 9 of them is enough to fullfill the top tier rf storage. Also it looks wonderfull!

Cursed Earth is still one of the best ways to get mob drops, including enderpearls. And there's zero cost for spawning, so you just need to find a relatively cheap method of auto-killing. (Spikes are free kills but can be pricy to craft a lot of them, so other options might be better.)

Has anyone had an issue with the oil generators not shutting off when the capacitor doesn't need power? i.e. using the power monitor? Everything was working fine with 3 generators. I added the other 6 and upgraded to mid tier energy laser's and now all 9 generators won't shut off when the capacitor doesn't need power. It won't even work when I revert back to just 3.

Tried to build a spawner that I saw in another video, except that the mod-pack that it used had Fans to push mobs. I ended up using a ton of Conveyor Belts, but does this mod-pack have a Fan equivalent?

Kurtis Haren daffomill will push items, but not mobs. another option similar to conveyors is vector plates from dark utilities. For my farm, I just used spikes around the spawn zone and I pick up items using the space card in the rftools builder

Direwolf, a question for you since, why not. Are the energy lasers meant to be able to go through blocks? I've ran wire to my very-deep underground base with a few lasers dug into the walls, and it has no loss what so ever?

got good news and bad news. Bad news are that Energy lasers have energy loss weather they go through blocks or not. on the bright side going through blocks probably doesn't increase it :) i'd recommend you give RFTools capacitors a try as they're able to share power based on their ID, personally i'm waiting for Draconic Evolution RF lasers to be implemented.

Also you can use a mechanical user set to left click and entity and give it an ender - that will kill using the ender givng you the additional headdrops. Or at least make a small are with a 2-high ceiling so you don't die from your own farm - that would be embarrasing and we won't want that. ;)

looks different but it still functions like an EnderIO capacitor, and added by EnderIO. These can be found in any world-gen loot chests i'm pretty sure. Description on em is useless but. their effectiveness may varry. They may be worse than a basic capacitor or better than a vibrant one. basically another way EnderIO is shouting 'I'm not just a tech mod'

The description isn't actually useless, for instance a "hot" capacitor works best in a sterling generator. I'll let you discover the others. :)

to be honest, i personally dont play this pack. I play the hermitcraft modpack. It has a few more mods that this pack doesnt. Its probably a little less balanced, and it doesnt have draconic yet, but im sure it will be implemented. I just personally like it better. not to advertise or anything

I'm just a lil confused as to why, it's a rather simple contraption. in my setup i'm just checking the inventory of the final dropper for the empowered seeds and sending a redstone signal on the EnderIO coloured redstone network into two places one for the regular seed buffer ( reconstructor dropper actually ) and the other to the dropper with the 2nd tier seeds. Those don't touch the block ( disabled ) but trigger item conduits to pull the corresponding seeds on a colour channel that is only used by the empowerer. simple logic, no item filters needed, there shouldn't be memory leaks related to this. But then again, i'd never pledge to the reliability of Java :) or the wisdom in using inventory checkers. god knows how often they tick.

90hijacked From stem to stern it's automated farming, two droppers, automated empowering and all distribution for every step of that entails. That's quite a few monkeys in the wrench and the autocraft process can break at nearly every step of it. I've had everything from the system prioritizing one seed type over the other too often to it thinking it sent all the materials and waiting for an empowered seed that will never come because it only sent 3 seeds.

only sent 3 seeds? erm, What are you using to request seeds? If it's the same system i've described the signal should stay on and pull the missing canola seed when it shows up, then repeat the process until the dropper requesting em is sufficiently filled up. now the two seed dropping into fluid contraptions, I'm using two scanners from Extra Utils in each. one for the fluid collector other for the item dropper. whilst the fluid placer acts the on/off switch for the contraption. All the logic is essentially in the one inventory sensor for the dropper. Which is contained inside a single block, a circuit from super circuit maker. First an and gate from the scanner detecting 2nd tier oil and the second any redstone signal from an inventory scanner checking the dropper for the empowered seeds. Second, a constant and a subtract gate to check there's a set amount of seeds in it and output a signal to pull the two seed types into the empowerer. As all the contraptions including the fermenting setup may fit in a 3x3x3 space i've simply placed them in the corners of the empowerer. thereby the whole thing fits inside a 9 by 9 lol. >_> tl;dr soz if i'm ranting, essentially. If you emit a signal when the dropper is empty it should continually try to pull the ingredients. Assuming you forward the signal to stop prior contraptions from consuming it.
