Oh yes, please do Sonic Generations too, it's like the best modern Sonic game until Shadow Generations came out. You didn't seem to recognize it, so Devil Doom is the final boss of Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. The song that was playing is All Hail Shadow, which is by far Shadow's most iconic theme song, unless you count Live and Learn as a Shadow theme which I don't think people do.

They haven’t touched the Deltatraveler Section 3 Obliteration Route or the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC (though whether or not they’ll do that one is up for debate) so I dunno maybe they’ll want to skip around a bit.

Ian, the Journal can be found on the Left side of the Collection Room. You should 100% collect them and read though it for a video. It will tell you a LOT. I consider this more important then playing Sonic Generations.

Whoa, the finale already?! Bring back the Chao Garden, Sega! Well, this is a sudden tonal shift to the hub. This is a cool Radical Highway act! If your groove is off, clearly you need better hair wax. Cool as this final battle was, I feel like visual design-wise practically everything being some shade of red or black makes it really hard to parse a lot of what's onscreen. It was great for Shadow to finally have a character arc and closure again! AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!!!! (this is a scream to show support for Sonic Generations)

I'd think it would be very interesting to see you play the Sonic half of the game. I find sonic generations to feel faster than shadow's half, something with the camera and the drift really add to that sense 'you're so incredibly fast' hell I'd stay the tight controls add to that too, in a strange way. But I hope at the very least you collect all of the journal pages because they answer 90% of your questions, and you can read them at a podium that's in the centre of the left wall.

Spagonia is a Sonic Unleashed reference. Because it's a real place that Sonic goes to in his "World Tour" during that game. I'm 90 percent sure that it's the first level. The wings only appeared the first time you played through Act 2 of Space Colony Ark. If you play the level again you don't get the wings automatically. YOU PRESSED X ON THE RAMP! Dude. I beat this game on October 26th, a day after I started playing it. "But I will continue to fight. Fight....With your wish in my heart. Your wish for everyone to have a chance to be happy." "I know I'll see you again. And if fate draws us apart, I'll always be in your heart." --Those two quotes NEVER left my head EVER since I played the game. This is the BEST Sonic game, HANDS DOWN. Shocked they revived Sonic Generations--Played that game in 2013 when I was 6 or so. I give this game a 9.5/10. It would've been a 10/10 if they played "Without You" in the end credits for Shadow Generations. That song, and its lyrics, is so beautiful. ("Without You" is the song that played in the final episode of the Shadow Generations Prologue). But this game was amazing. I've been a huge Shadow (and Espio & Mighty) fan since I was 6, SO GLAD they gave my edgy hedgy his own game after 19 years! (Shadow '05)

Like other comments have said, the song was All Hail Shadow. Which was also a consistent leitmotif in the white space!! I would hear it every once and while when y’all played it and would hum along! :D Also, I would adore a play through of Sonic 06. Although the game is supposedly janky, its story has a deep place in my heart. It is also the introduction to Silver! One of my favorite characters. I hope they’re allowed to hone in on him as a character in the future. Since any recent games with him don’t do him any justice. Anywho, wonderful play through (as always) and I’ll be sitting patiently in my rocking chair for any updates.

Spagonia is one of the hub areas in Sonic Unleashed and there is a lot of stuff related to food in that game. I feel so vindicated seeing you struggle with the Doom Morph even after the comments helped you learn what to do. "I just love Radical Highway Shadow." -Black Doom I absolutely love all the super cheesy ending songs from Shadow The Hedgehog (2005). I highly recommend listening to them at least once just to see how corny it all is. (Also the song during the Devil Doom fight has even cheesier lyrics than you thought because it's "All Hail Shadow".) Honestly I don't know that Gerald could have prevented anything even if he knew exactly what happened. I don't want to go into detail but it is mostly events that he is powerless to control for one reason or another. I get the frustration of missing 1 or 2 objectives in Shadow 05 but I really think that game holds up a lot better than some of the other games. I said it before but that game had the novel concept of when you move the control stick the character goes in that direction instead of walking forward and turning. My hot take is that it controls better than the Adventure games. (I do still prefer both the Adventure games but man sometimes the characters will just walk straight off of ledges when you want to turn around.) All that is to say, I would love to see Casey try it out even as a one-off. Now that you're done playing these baby games you should play a real game, Kirby. (For all intents and purposes that was a joke. Although I am excited for the next Kirby series whenever a slot opens up for it.) I would love to see you at least get S rank on one level just to try it and confirm you don't vibe with the Sonic formula. I think you should try Sonic Generations as well but be warned, it's a lot rougher around the edges than this game. It took me a lot longer to enjoy Sonic Generations than it took me for Shadow Generations despite taking the same amount of time to complete. EDIT: I realized i didn't suggest a stage, I personally recommend Kingdom Valley Act 1 as It has a good mix of challenge and spectacle.

Would love to see you play Sonic Generations. Definitely a game similar in length to Shadow Generations (just a little bit longer). I still think it's probably the best modern Sonic game in terms of level design, though Shadow probably beats it on story and somewhat on controls (Sonic is much more sluggish--not great for beginners).

I screameth that you should first do a stream where you find and read all Gerald journal notes before any sonic gens stuff. Still, I recommend any of the story videos of Pariah695 cuz the videos are just that good. “The Story of Shadow Generations is Beautiful” is good cause it’s also a quick overview of Shadow’s character in Shadow05 and explains what his character is now. (Don’t worry about being spoiled for the Gerald journal or sonic gens he just lightly comments on them) I’m going to recommend Pariah on every sonic video from now on and you can’t stop me.

I actualy dont recomend playing sonic gens! I really liked shadow gens (and got almost all S ranks first try) and playing through sonic gens is just, frusterating honestly. I 100% recomend reading the journal though!

@@cmrobbins88 In my opinion The level design is just not fun like the shadow levels, sorry if im being vauge,(except crisis city i really liked that level) Shadow also just controlls better imo. Playing through it after shadow gens just kind of soured the good vibes I had from 100% shadow gens.Shadow gens just felt so intutive and base game just felt wierd. The challange levels in shadow gens are also so fun and i think i like them way better because of how short they are like you can reset and run through for a fast score and rank. I know some people prefer the longer ones but messing up super late is kinda annoying (this point is just kinda nitpickey because the Ranks are pretty lenient) Honestly I don't care if the story is lacking because i like the little interactions talking to the characters (hi blaze :3) I still !00%ed the game and weirdly I really like the edition of the chao collectobles that from what i heard people didnt care for.

@ honestly I get it because not all of the Acts are fun and the paths are more limited even compared to Unleashed. Planet Wisp Act 2 is too long and too heavy on 2D platforming which already have with Classic Sonic. Shadow levels were challenging in a fun way especially when implementing Chaos Control to cut down the time on your score. It was a new spin on finding the best routes and then they double that by challenging you to go as fast without the Doom Wings.
