The game has a million and one places to jump where you're just barely short. Getting the Frog Ring is a game changer, literally. Makes things sooo much easier. Serious quality of life. Oh, and the better bed regens more hearts at a time, so it is an upgrade over the normal bed.

I do like Tri's little arc of becoming less robot-like, so to speak. Some would say they're starting to Tri-t people with more care.

The fact that Ganon himself was echoed really brings up a lot of mysteries.

Not being able to see something that's right in front of you is an actual phenomenon called inattentional blindness. Some people have it much worse than others. As an example someone else I watch sometimes has multiple minutes of not being able to see something that's clearly on screen and will only notice it after their chat points it out. Even when they are already looking for it. (It also applies to their real life too, not just video games.) I never even thought to use the bind ability during this fight. I love how many ways there are to beat these fights it adds so much replay-ability. I love the implication that the new villain defeated Ganon and turned him into an echo. It really helps up the stakes and immediately shows the level of threat you are dealing with. Everyone who escapes from a rift (without Zelda and Tri's help) lose something. For Link and that Gerudo it was their voice but others do still lose something (I don't think they ever give another example though). On an unrelated note, Shadow Generations just got a new level that could be a good excuse to revisit the game and check out Gerald's journal and/or anything else you wanted to do.

So glad Casey remembered long-distance echoes! That was the ability you got after the Zora dungeon, so it had been a while. Pretty sure I've said this before, but it really is enjoyable watching you come up with inventive solutions rather than just using the same few echoes over and over. I remember there's one of the Star Trek movies where there are indeed two Kirks. And I haven't seen a huge amount of the original series, but I'd be willing to bet there's at least an episode with two Kirks for some reason. I feel like there was a game I played once with golden acorns, does that count? FROG RING GET!!! Now Zelda had mad hopz! Seriously, that is one accessory that basically stayed on the whole rest of the game for me. Oh wow, I didn't realize you could hit Ganon with his own trident like that! Neat! I honestly feel like this might be the most deceptively difficult incarnation of Ganon tennis in the whole franchise. With how it starts off so slow then speeds up so much so fast and the delay on your swings, it all just makes the volley really easy to mess up. Ian's pot antics were very fun =) Great reactions to the events while leaving the dungeon! This whole section of the game is just really good.

Tri reminded them of long-distance-echoes just a minute earlier (the end of the last video) it's just that they skipped through that dialog so far they weren't able to understand what it said.

Some people try to fit echoes of wisdom into the Zelda timeline. While others think the game is non-ganon.

Day 202 of reminding everyone that Ian drank Casey’s Nesquik. Believe me guys, I was shocked too. The game just gets wider and wider I promise, the Frog Ring is OP and Act 1 is at its end. Thanks so much for not giving this series up yet!

I feel like this is almost Ian's dream game, because the entire game is predicated around screwing around and using various crap however you want to solve puzzles however you please. Ian's formally allowed to let his imagination and overcomplication goblin mind run wild because it's almost assured he'll actually get rewarded for it at some point- it's super clear Ian's having a blast just DOING SHIT. Whether it fails or not, Ian's clearly loving experimenting and just seeing what happens. Which is awesome! That said, I DO think a bit of the issue with the viewership for this game is that it's very long, and while faffing about IS in fact what the game is made for...that also means it's not that hot of a let's play game, because faffing about means it's gonna take forever and a day to actually get through the game, and that causes viewer fatigue. Especially when Ian comes across a puzzle, and explicitly wants to try the most complicated route he can think of to get through/pass it just to see if it'll work at all, so it involves a lot of trial and error. Which, again, fun! Intended, even! Just...not the most viewer-friendly/engaging. Some games are fun to play AND watch, some are fun to JUST play. I think Echoes of Wisdom has turned out to be the latter, in most situations.

You're right about the viewer fatigue (I'm just catching up weeks late, haha) but it'll be SO worth it every time we see Casey and Ian's reactions to plot twists and reveals 🤩

Bro I never even considered using the gusty ball thing when I played this. It makes so much sense in hindsight, even had specific platforms for you to summon them on, and yet it took me being at the very end of the game trying to fill out my "compendium" to even realise you could kill them. I quite literally just used the flying tile and water block to get everywhere.
