Could probably be done actually, you would just loose out on the melee crit chance % But its important to know that its NOT for the intellect itself but rather for the doubled SP you get from having INT main stat.

agi build is really good for builds like SS/dark intent, but for example for a chaos bolt/corrupted maelstorm weapon i saw a lot of good pure int builds

Yea thats what im thinking too, obviously its always dependent on the build. No 2 builds are the same, its always better to test yourself than to just blindly follow what i say. Im only human as well so its 100% possible for me to be wrong sometimes. But in general terms agi main stat seems to be the way to go

Video title should probably be "Let's talk about Melee Hybrid Builds". Because that's all you mention really. There's a host of viable, and currently pretty strong, Hybrid hunter builds (Explosive Shot, Arcane Hunter, Dark Ranger) that scale differently. Check out the Careful Aim talent that converts Intellect into Attack Power. Obviously you still want to be Agility main stat with these builds. You're mostly spot on with the video, just wanted to point out there's more than just melee hybrids that can compete in this Season.

Your totally right, i was focusing mostly on melee builds because those are generally more popular. Some of the things should still apply to both tho. However I should have probably brought up carefull aim, not going to lie. Thanks for your comment!

Im a bit puzzled about mental quickness and its efficiency. I have a hybrid build currently, with Mental Quickness (tbf only 4/5). Im at around 1400 SP with full int gear/int spec, and only 900 with Agi SP gear/Agi spec, and my dps drops like a whole 1-1.5k average on ST, plus way more mana intensive. So i assume that even if you go "melee hybrid", but your main damage is still from spells like Chaos Bolt/Ignite/Immolate/conflag, youd still wanna be pure int? Or would MQ capstone weigh up for that difference?

Hmm thats a REALLY! Good question actually. You do get a certain amount of "free" or "bonus" spell power for picking INT as main stat. I think it depends a lot pr build. For example lava sweep gets value from agility since it scales with melee crit in comparison to chaos bolt which is using spell crit instead. But yea the capstone 10% is a big difference. Also the "bonus" SP for picking INT should be a flat amount based on level. So agility should get gradually better with better gear. Also your missing like 15% SP scaling since your 4/5 right? So maybe that could be a factor as well?

mental quickness on hybrids if not 5/5 is worthless, you'd be better of playing full int until you get 5/5

Rolled 5/5 today, and it still performs way lower than pure int set/spec. Pure int i did 18k ST over 3½ mins and still had mana left, while with hybrid MQ 5/5 I did 16 and was oom after 2 minutes. So it probably is very dependent on each specs phys/spell proportionality. Even though I'm spamming sinister strikes etc, its probably not worth for my build at least.@@zoulogaming7792

Yes your sp would be 500 lower in that case but it would also be made up by the fact you'll have more than 500 ap as well more then likely. Biggest problem hybrid builds have is mana issues gotta use wizards REs to make up the difference and or other talents/spells

What if i have to choose rings with str/stamina attack power between rings with int stamina and spell power? same with neck and back

which gear has agi and SP on it tho? Like let's say I wanna create a hybrid toon and start collecting gear from bg caches - should I always select agi gear from them? Will it have SP?

For pvp, i have no clue what drops from the bags, maybe check ascension database. Otherwise for raids and mythic+ you will want to roll on what would usually be shaman/paladin gear.

The Shaman gear has Agi and Spell power. Earthfury T1 Stormrage T2 You can go with that or you can go full agi gear. Talking to one of the top agi pvpers the other day. They said shaman gear is a trap and just stack as much agi as possible for crit.

Is that only relevant for Season Server or also Area52 ?

Elune, i would imagine its quite a bit different on area 52 as the way you make a build on there is drastically different

4:45 min This is actually not true, many specs go for agi allocation but int/sp/crit gear with int to sp and crit converters (lunar guidance and mental strength).

it would be good if you had unlimited talents. But its better to not spec into lunar guidance and just go agility main stat, then you get to use your talent points on other skills (that dont require stat scaling to be good) In general INT does nothing on its own. The tip was mainly because i see people a lot (also got DM's about it) of people telling me they went for agi/int gear thinking intelligence gave them more magic damage)

@@Sneptics_Official yeah my tip would be 1) never trust tooltip and 2) always check the database for your abilities and what scaling is better. also yes, agi stacking is a thing since agi gives crit dmg. its agi stat divided by player lvl [1000agi / lvl 60 = +16.67% crit dmg].

I am puzzled with this video :) I am playing since seazon 6 and i can tell that its a matter of choice and talents rng atm. But I make pure int spell power hybrid builds that out perform (x1,5 x2) agi and str. Dont know about max lvl gameplay tho. Prestige ftw ;)

Maybe its a question of talents? But theoretically agi should be better, and it also seems to be general consensus amongst players. Are the ones you are competing against also hybrid or pure strength/agility?
