@@TheHoonJin I don't think that was the point of the comment though, I feel like it kind of has to do with attitudes towards sexual stuff. @@juliajade4173 It also depends on the age and generation. I'm fifty years old and Korean-American. But I also went to church every week. So my dating style was very conservative even though I was very aware of the dating culture in America. There is a generational shift towards faster hooking up in the West because of the internet and dating apps and even more causal attitude towards sex and Kelsey is really representative of that millennial generation. We took it slow, he didn't touch me until we were in a relationship. I felt respected. We didn't live together before getting married either. We only moved in together two weeks after our marriage. When I met his parents in the beginning, I guess they were scared I would be a "Woohoooo" open-minded 외국인 but they were reassured when they realized I had that traditional side. I would like point out a strong distinction between "shaking your ass" and "wagging your butt". . "shaking your ass" has a strong mature and often sexual connotation. Usually related to dancing. . "wagging your butt" is usually more of a cute and non-sexual thing and is similar in context and movement to when dogs wag there tails (and sometimes whole back ends) when their are happy/excited. . so which is it that David does? it makes a difference.

bruh its not that deep
@kairallison3 жыл бұрын
@@jocelyncarrillo7663 it's not necessarily that deep but how things are phrased can significantly change the meaning. . and you have to keep in mind the David, while fluent and extremely good in English, still has it as a second language and may not be aware of or naturally think of conceptual differences in similar English phrases and terms. . so while it may not be a significant thing in your mind, it can be extremely helpful for people who are not native in English. and the same goes for all other languages. it's not cool, quirky, or funny for you to try and shame or talk down to others that are genuinely trying to help. You may not think of it in this way, but leaving comments like "it's not that deep" is discouraging to people trying to help while also, inadvertently gatekeeping the subject in question (in this case it's language and cultural context in relation to it). . restricting knowledge (whether you do it on purpose or as an accidental side effect of you actions) is one of the easiest ways to cause completely avoidable misunderstandings.

There is definitely a place for the David’s in the world! It’s nice to be dating someone without expectations of sex from the off. I like those first few dates and texting etc, the chase, that’s the best time, however, I think it probably would prove frustrating if someone wanted more but won’t/can’t due to “social expectations” or caring too much about people’s judgements. I’m on Danny’s side for this one, if you both want something, then go for it, it really doesn’t matter about anyone else’s views or opinions. A mix of the two would be a great combo!

Yes I agreed, its not really about geographical area. But more to your UPBRINGING & CLOSE CIRCLES. Like how do you value your potential relationship and potential bf. For me personally, i hang out with guys i dated for a while before any physical contacts, and the relationship lasted min 2 years+ and my current BF more than 3 yrs, and we seeing each other friends/families and of course intend to marry each other, even though later on broke up. I’m 30 yrs old now, i have 3 serious r/ship and a few just lasted for months only. I also have experienced like Kelsey & Danny’s approach on dating, but it never lasted > 3 mths. Cz obviously it was more to temporary desire than a deep emotional connection. Based on experience, i will be definitely conservative when dating cz I’m looking for a serious relationship rather than ONS. The guy’s intention when dating is really important, and for me to meet your friends/family are also equally important. Im surprised when David / Danny says their family doesn’t even know their GF. I will be hurt if I’m being hidden like that.

It only proves that Asians are more traditional and old fashioned in some aspects. Most people here in the Philippines are quite judgemental too when it comes to these kinds of topics.

i personally prefer the korean dating culture bc i don't like moving forward too fast either. it takes time for me to open up to people and be comfortable around them.

Same. It is not that commonnhere in Germany and I literelly don't care how fast others move, like go for it. But my own comfort zone wouldn't let me.
