Haha I have been reading comments and I am the one opening the box. It is seriously a bad investment to open something like this and I knew that long before I got to the table. I live and breath magic so I was definitely paying for the experience. This is a MTG nerds Disneyland in a sense, I paid a lot of money for a fun experience I may never get to do again but at least I have a ton of NM gradable antiquities cards that in the very long term will hopefully balance out the investment. Thanks Rudy for recording. He definitely seduced me with his floppy taco and yes my **** is in fact holding that table up the entire time to answer just a few of the questions and comments below!

It’s been 3 years and when rewatching I realized that Gavin is standing there and just taking it all in. Taking pictures of the box like a nerd. He’s the one who lead design on mystery boosters. This is the moment he realized old cards were so cool to people. Hence why he kept old frames. This guy inspired mystery boosters and “the list” and has no idea

I am curious, why is everyone touching them and what not. Wouldn't you want to open these with gloves and lay them on velvet or something?

One of the 4 Strip Mines is C1, while the other 3 are U1. So perfectly plausible to find a pack with two: one occupying one of the 6 commons slots and the other occupying one of the 2 uncommon slots

I once spent $10k on whores and weed over the course of about 5 weeks. At the end of the day, if it brings you $10k of happiness and memories, then it's worth it.

i just got this thought... 15+ years ago , i gave all my cards away to my friend... had few gem mox cards ( white, blue and green) and bad shape black lotus aswell .. well was in every deck i build so , got use allot .. i cant even bear thinking how expensive those first series would be now... no its more close to 20 years ago.. damn the time flies.. But for me back then , it was only way to go about it.. give all away at once , stop spending and start saving for kids. About the same time , i stopped the gambling addiction as well.
