Mr Chris, the transformation on this project is incredible. You have really turned that place around. I’m not sure how close Mr Pete with GCI turf is to this property but once your done, I know he could come in and make a lawn and really set the finishing touches on it. Great video and great job sir.

Many elements in this video: takes hours of planning and revising as you go along. Looks so good. Stinky Compost is good for the soil and pasture growth just as that awful tasting medicine would make us better (so Mum said). Those meals look great too - very convenient.

Talking about the aroma of that compost, farmers were spreading turkey litter just down the road a few weeks ago. That stuff is nasty.

It's surprising how much compost improves soil quality, as Mr B found out. It's also surprising how much is needed. I get through about 5yd³ a year over 150yd² of vegetable & flower beds.

nice work again. seeing you spreading the compost out makes me miss my old job using a conveyor belt delivery truck i could paint that compost pretty darn good and have it 1-4 inches deep all over that yard, good times

I started having tree trimmers dump shredded tree materials to make compost. 2 years to compost it... But free is a good price.

That’s a great start, but remember that good compost needs both carbon and nitrogen components. Tree chips etc (called the browns) are full of carbon. Grass clippings, vegetable scraps etc, (called the greens) are full of nitrogen. You need both plus water, oxygen, and time to make good compost. But you probably knew that…but for other would be composters, that’s the basics.

I have equipment so I can turn the piles regularly, spreader them out in thin layers over dirt, then re-pile them after they’ve gotten saturated and broken down some more. I add pond dredgings and manure to the mix, let sit, turn occasionally, and in a couple of years I have great compost ready for the gardens or lawn .

Thanks for the explanation of not using the skid steer for spreading the compost. Kept thinking, "Why isn't he using the skid steer? He is really fast and accurate with that thing for spreading material. And when using the 'Time Lapse', you make damn short work of it! LOL

If that compost is burning your nose it has ammonia in it. It hasn't set long enough to complete the composting process. It will kill anything that is planted in it. Hope that fella leaves it sitting a good long while before he sows it..

The artist is working his magic on yet another expansive project. I have been watching Chris for quite a while now and the young man has made quite a few things very clear. Organizing a larger job ,techniques operating equipment , communication with customers, why he executes processes a certain way for safety reasons, making the point for maintaining equipment, etc. Then again he did promote checking out DP's channel. Oh well. LOL just joking. They work well together.

When that first flag went under I was not paying full attention and wondered what kind of camera artifact caused that pink spot but then the next one was obvious and it made sense.

You could use a top soil screener,tow behind you truck,and yes,I would at least rent one,and time it right to try to do home top soil,cow manure,at your farm,house,cabin.I just think it'd be worth it

Why don't you add some really good Chicken Manure to that Compost. Throw out some good grass seed and little bit of rain it will start popping up. Doing a very fine job with this place . Totally different look now. Winston says HAPPY FATHERS DAY!
