3.5” BANDO BASHER - TanQ-S - Freestyle Drone

It's finally here. After a year of hard work and prototype testing, I have built my new favorite drone - TanQ-S.
The "S" stands for Sport, or Sub250, or Speed, or Small, or Super, or Spectacular. "Don't let me catch you calling it cute!" LOL
I knew a year ago that regulations were changing. Laws in the United States, and other Countries, were about to change, and, right or wrong, it was something we were going to have to deal with, one way or another.
Wherever you stand on this topic, I wanted to be able to do everything I did before the new regulations, do it legally, and not make any sacrifices.
When I envisioned the TanQ-S, it needed to be able to check 5 boxes.
- It had to be capable of being built under 250 grams, so, we could fly in the United States, recreationally, without having to register, or outfit our drones with remote id.
- It had to be able to carry the DJI o3 System, so that I could get GoPro-like, quality footage to upload to my KZbin channel
- And it had to do that without any props or frame in view, in the widest setting available, while protecting the camera.
- TanQ-S had to fly as good, or better than my 5" drone
- And most importantly, it had to be durable enough to be worthy of the name TanQ.
After a year of hard work, and Bando Bashing, the TanQ-S checks all those boxes, and more.
