This is my first time playing Spirit Tracks. And the grunts Zelda makes as she’s telling Link how he needs to help her was the main highlight of this cutscene for me. And this version of Zelda is honestly the most adorable version of her so far.

​@michaelsong5555 in game, one of pirates stated that she stepped up to the plate as captain at a young age when her mother passed away. for her reason on assisting link, tetra initially helped link out after he saved her from the top of outset island from some bokoblins. she didn't want to help link save his sister aryll at first, but at quill (the rito postman) pointing out what had just happened and where the monster that kidnapped her took off to, (forsaken fortress) she reluctantly agrees to help out. as for badass moments...I wouldn't say "badass" but there are cool character moments. the next time we see the pirates, they're raiding windfall island's bomb shop. one of the pirates got the postman to spill the beans on a supposed "treasure" on the back of outset. initially it would seem that tetra is gunning for the treasure to, so much so that she's willing to set sail as soon as they're done loading the bombs, but it's revealed shortly after that after seeing the devastation of greatfish isle, she insists hurrying on over to outset. (under the excuse of wanting to get the treasure, after being questioned by another crew member.) she sees link hiding above, then decides to leave it to him seeing as that's the first time she knew he was alive after forsaken fortress. she and her crew also aided link in his 2nd raid against the fortress, distracting the helmaroc king so link doesn't get tossed out again and escorting the kidnapped girls and aryll back home... she then stuck around to help link out of a tight spot with ganondorf (though that didn't pan out great.) in the final fight she does help link out in the battle, handing him the master sword, wielding the bow to shoot ganondorf and talking down to him all the while. tl;dr she has her moments as a character and sorry for the wall of text. I like the wind waker a lot

Spirit Tracks is such an underrated gem. A lot of people were put off by the "train" aspect but I personally thought it was pretty awesome. Especially the twist at the end. This is also one of the only games you literally get to adventure WITH Zelda. The soundtrack is FIRE by the way. Probably some of the best music the Zelda series has seen. It's also a direct sequel to Wind Waker.

The reason Link doesn't officially have a romantic relationship with Zelda is because deep down in the darkest depths of his soul, Zelda gave him PTSD in one of his last lives. Niko is very old by this point, Link and Zelda from Phantom Hourglass presumably died of old age (because they needed to reincarnate as the Link and Zelda of Spirit Tracks, presumably) and the Linebeck in ST is the grandson of Phantom Hourglass's Linebeck (hence why he's called Linebeck III)

What games/where in HH say they need to die to reincarnate there isn't really much indication the death or their presence really affects how it works at all. Like cause links all share the same spirit in different form and TP's link was taught by The Spirit of OoT and MM link whose spirit never even left the world of the living heck he got ripped out of time in the WW timeline and that link reincarnated just fine and in LOZ 2 it is revealed there was a Zelda that was alive and cursed under a sleep spell for many years during like most of the series along side other Zeldas that are more prevelant in the series. The only rules I found that were explicitly stated Zelda's: Blood of the Goddess Hylia needed Link's: Spirit of the Hero needed Demise's: Incarnation of his hatred needed
