Mrs Murder that’s inaccurate. We have an emergency hotline here in the Philippines.
@tatinesaenzk4 жыл бұрын
We do have emergency hotlines, but help doesn’t arrive as quickly when you call, unlike 911 in the US. So yeah, it’s unreliable.
@gedcanonizado4 жыл бұрын
Justine Saenz-Key I called our emergency hotline a couple of times already from two different cities/municipalities and both experiences were pleasant. The police responded quickly within 15 minutes on BOTH issues. So again, inaccurate.
@tatinesaenzk4 жыл бұрын
Lol you can’t say inaccurate just because you were lucky enough to have been helped when some of us here got little to no response. If it were reliable then every district should get a swift response like you did. Anyway, the hotline exists but it needs polishing.
@gedcanonizado4 жыл бұрын
Justine Saenz-Key the issue is whether or not we have emergency hotlines. Not whether we need it polished or not. Bottom line is - we have. That’s why I responded to this comment. So the story is, I reiterate, inaccurate.

In my town there was a cop who got busted for downloading pictures of kids onto his work computer. They were going to let him plead down so that he couldn’t get jail time or have to register as a sex offender. Then someone at the local paper wrote about how he had been fired from his previous job because he was keeping copies of photos from rape kits and stalking victims he had previously helped. Our campus security wouldn’t even hire him because he failed the background check, but the city police department hired him and promoted him to SWAT.

Hey LR! Another great job narrating! I actually have had one stalker for seventeen years. I even kept the glittered valentines he sent me in my mailbox when I was 19. He had a few girlfriends, but it doesn't matter where I live or move, he eventually found me, and would take a walk by my house. Sometimes he would cough twice around midnight so I'd know it was him. Sometimes he would knock and ask for a cigarette even though he wasn't a smoker. We sort of kept in touch, as in he sent me a message about seven months ago asking how my writing was coming along. Last I checked, his profile is him with his cat in a tuxedo. Thankfully, he's pretty harmless.

oh my god, the makeup store story. i used to work in the footwear department of a big store and a man called and asked to speak with someone in shoes and i picked up. he told me he had really small feet and if we sold childrens shoes, what sizes they go up to, etc - pretty normal questions tbh, some people do have small feet, not a big deal, and i answered everything he asked in a friendly nonjudgemental tone but then he started asking really odd questions like for me to read off the info in the shoeboxes to him, asked what else we sold besides shoes (socks) to read him the material/wash tags on the socks, etc. he just kept emphasizing how small his feet were and asking me if i thought it was weird or gross for a grown man to have such small feet, which i just kept saying things like “no, we have customers with all different sized feet, no worries, we can find something that is right for you” and so on. it had been about 20 minutes of this when the department manager walked by and stopped to listen to my end of the conversation for a few seconds before holding out her hand and motioning for me to give the phone to her, which i happily did because i was starting to feel pretty uncomfortable, and she didn’t even say “hello” or wait for the man to say anything before she went off and shouted “sir, you need to stop calling this store and asking the same questions over and over, you are taking up way too much of my employees’ time and we know what you’re doing so GET SOME HELP” and hung up. i was SHOCKED to hear her speak that way to a customer. she then explained the man had been calling once every few months for the past year or so and asking so many weird and specific questions to female employees only (he would hang up if a male answered and would not put him through to a female) so he could masturbate to a woman’s voice. the general consensus was that he must have had some kind of humiliation fetish and since he can’t really call up a store and ask them to criticize his small penis or something then he had to pick something a little less X rated (his feet). months and months passed without another call from him, i get promoted to department manager, then one day the exact same scenario takes place as before, where i walk by and overhear one of my new female employees repeating back some very familiar sounding answers uncomfortably into the phone, only this time *i* get to grab the phone and ask the man to please stop calling our store. it happened a few more times while i was employed, i don’t work there anymore and haven’t for years. i definitely haven’t heard from the man since i stopped working there. he never asked for anybody by name and didn’t seem to have any sort of fixation with any employee in particular, as long as it was a female. i meant to type the short version of that story but it ended up being a lot longer than i thought it would be. if you want to use that story in a future video please feel free to. if you give me some warning i can write a better-worded version. :P

This happens to me a lot. Get a call at least once a week from the same number. Sounds like an elderly man. Thought maybe he mistook my number for a grandchild of his. Until he said my name a few phone calls after the first. Never told him my name. Knew the name of my town and the car I drive. Blocked the number. And keep getting calls from a different number with someone who sounds eerily similar.
@kdphotos46913 жыл бұрын
This is a bit late because your comment is a year old but a top tip is to tell the freak that his number has been registered with local law enforcement and any attempt to contact you will be filed as harassment and stalking. Also, block the number. If he keeps using a different number, block those too. Do not engage with him.

similar story happened to me, nothing too scary but still unsettling, im the type to never answer "unknown number" or " no caller ID" phone calls, just because i've had stupid friends trying to prank me and saying stupid stuff. If it was a legit phone call, they would leave a message and i would call them back. anyway, one night i got a call from an unknown caller, i dont pick up, and they kept calling, for about 4 times, and i decided to pick up on the 5th call, and there was this guy with a raspy voice, not saying anything at first, i said a few hellos, and he says nothing, and then he says "do you have a friend...what are you doing?" and i asked who it was, he just kept repeating if i wanted a friend, and i hung up, and he called back, i picked up and he said " i just wanna be your friend, what are you wearing" i hung up, and he kept calling for about another 5 times, and finally stopped. maybe he did just want a friend, but i dont particularly wanna be friends with some guy that calls on blocked number, and continuously to call.
@kdphotos46913 жыл бұрын
He wasn't looking for a friend. He was a pervert. The phone call you described is a classic one. Men have been pulling that same stunt almost immediately after the telephone was invented. "What are you wearing?" Is as old as the hills.

Abso-effin-lutely. I completely buy that avoiding retaliation is why they did not reveal the stalker's name to avoid retaliation. That last story really got to me because it a common practice in mexico to call fake a rape/ kidnapping of children and as you continue to talk to them they make noises to make it believable. but the weird thing is that they normally ask for money or the phone calls are a way for kidnappers to know if people are home so they could kidnapped you , but this last story seems more like a sicko wanting something else. SO people stay safe out there and dont let creeps get to you! Thanks for the Stories tho!

How awful would it be to live in a place with no emergency ph# and no police response.
