@@StingRayo98 idk, maybe so I've only been to a pentecostal church and my oh my, they think that they are better than you and that you need to fix yourself and be like them, there was a rumor of the "pastor" behaving inappropriately with a couple of women in their church, ohh yeah and I've seen them turn what once was a close family against each other and cause them to separate

Srsly, the few times I've seen it (on tv. Could not pay me to step into their lil cult spaces), it looks like an attention competition. "The congregation is looking at me!" "No, me!" "Shut it, Lucy Bell, the congregation don't give one whit about your tongues! Congregation is looking at ME!" "Luisa May, you shut your wh9re mouth. We all know you been sleeping with the preacher's wife doin THINGS with our snakes! You hush now. No one cares about YOU." "How. DARE. You! We are meeting to recite the BIBLE and we feedin the snakes as the preacher has asked! You just salty that they asked you to stop bringing food to the monthly church potluck after you fed everyone undercooked roadkill. You nasty, musty heux." Then a cat fight ensues while they are shouting in tongues to keep the attention on them. Meanwhile, the preacer's wife is whispering to the snakes that they're safe and she'll protect them from heux-azz Luisa May.

Much love from a mother to a mother....I really do hope it'll all work out and resolve itself for the better soon as possible for all of you involved.... I'm sure he's gonna realize that he needs his mom... Might not have it quite as good living with dad as he may have imagined either....I think that does happen sometimes... usually in most cases no matter how great your father may be, no one usually will ever care for ya quite like your momma always will....😇🥰😇🥰 💗💗💗💗💗

It's sad it has to be that way...I had experienced witnessing the most BS act of turning away a poor harmless man that deserved to be there just as much as any person and needed help only to be shunned and told he should not return all because the spineless pastor allowed a couple prejudicial old hags decide that he should be told he was not even welcome there, in the Lord's house of all places, I believe now just as than that God was certainly testing him in that moment, the man had the most perfect opportunity to stand up and display that that kind of behavior is EXACTLY what Jesus would've taught against.... that he would've had that man come to his father's house and to not be ashamed, that man had every right to be there, much more than some person who is what, there for show, pretending to be a good person...? They really should all be ashamed for that, but especially that pastor, he had the best and perfect opportunity to do exactly what he must have known would've been the only right thing to do at that exact moment... when i heard that he turned away that man because he was homeless and I had just met him the previous Sunday, my dad, my fiance, myself, my Grandma, and just a couple others had been the only ones to have greeted this man and look him in the eyes, welcoming him and shaking his hand, he stayed to himself, obviously he was embarrassed and ashamed but I could tell that he was even a bit surprised that any one actually was approaching him like that...I sat right infront of him as well as like I said having greeted him, shake his hand, told him, told him welcome and I'm happy that he dediced to join us today.... he was extremely polite, if only that he was quite and reserved, this man did nothing to deserve that kind of treatment, and than was shunned when these few old trolls had apparently made up some complete total nonsense about how his presence was somehow offending to them, his over all look I'm guessing as well as them saying that he was dirty and maybe even saying that he had an overwhelmingly offense smell or other BS like that I have no doubt.... All complete lies.... he had no awful smell and although he appeared that he was quite obvious to onlookers a homeless gentleman, he really did not appear overly dirty, I'm sure he went out of his way spending more time probably to try his best to take a public bathroom version of a shower clean up and freshen himself the best that he could just to look presentable... and these women? What did they do besides shake the dust off then put on their hideously ugly church wear from 1952 or whatever year they wear every Sunday... oh Def didn't forget to layer on the superiority complex as well as wafting in their extra judgement too like a nauseatingly bad perfume.... made me sick

@@misterpoe1196 I don't believe that at all respectfully but maybe perhaps you mean religion as a whole... it takes one's spirituality to make things good and to help others that's the way it should be.... some churches and religions certainly do seem to ruin everything good and Godly at times that they're supposed to be there to protect and share.... so I feel you there....

Until I passed a mannequin/dummy dressed in white robes and tall pointy white hat (yea THAT kind of "uniform") on the side of the road holding a plywood sign. I couldn't even clearly read what the sign said. There was a massive wooden cross about a .5 mile up. (Also this backass woods highway was legit named after a past KKK member, if you research it you'll find it 🙄) All this and I'm dangerously low on gas!! In general, his voice is annoying to me because it sounds like someone who belongs more on NPR. Regarding this particular story: Americans who don't live on one of the coasts are getting sick of being caricaturized as ignorant, bible-thumping bigots, and this, especially the first story, seems to be intended to do precisely that. Also, I and others have picked up on several contradictions in the stories, not to mention other annoying little things like mispronouncing "Giles", etc.

That guy from the first story should have went to the police and filed a report. "False imprisonment" is absolutely a crime, and those snake handlers should be held accountable for their actions; even if the police can't technically find cause to make any arrests nor prosecute, it's still worthwhile just to have the incident as a matter of official record!

More than likely, the cops were in the chapel. Places like that are very insular and even law enforcement ends up on the take, so to speak.

God, I still can't believe story two happened within a century ago :( Makes me sad that people still are racist toward others. So glad that the writer made it out alive

What is sickening is how many of those hooded evil fucks probably still have positions of power and connections to this day. South hasn't changed

being West Virginia born and raised, that definitely sounds like an episcopal church. those people talk in tongues and get wild. i avoid church in general, but definitely episcopal ones lmao

Lol lost in the Appalachians? Good luck. I'm not surprised the guy in the first story dealt with some interesting folk.

I live in Roanoke,VA...and I HATE I-81, avoid it at all cost, but I drove it all the way back from Texas to Roanoke, and if he was going to knoxville, tennessee, he shouldn't have gone through West Virginia, especially if he already went through blacksburg and got back on 81, it would have been a straight shot back Tennessee, as I just went there with my sister. He went to a holy roller church. Homie was super turned around, and had a crappy time because of it 😬 yikes
