Bad Day AT Boston! Lots of people struggle with this specific race even with all it's negative net downhills. The winner had some snarky response towards Kipchoge but It's all good, There's a reason he's not the bright Role model that Eliud Is to most people. Don't wish him unwell. Not everyone can be a decent person even in moments of glory where you expect them to be decent humans.

That last reporter was kind of a deuche bag. Everyone was expecting him to win, he didn’t, he has a massive team with him . He is not apologizing for loosing , he is apologizing for not meeting people’s expectations. As he repeated many times , this is sport , this is a challenge, and let’s speak as though it is . This guy is a legend , one of one . Give the man some respect . Come to think about it this is one of the greatest “not first place”, speeches I’ve ever heard .

Bottom line is nobody owes anyone anything in a race. He chose to be in front, simple as that. I didn’t really understand him being upset at other runners. They had a great strategy and executed it to perfection. Kipchoge wanted perhaps to set a new course record and ran a bit too fast to what was possible on that day. Doesn’t mean that others had to play along.

Well done, all things considered. Although with such a high average speed, drafting would have conserved 10-15% of your energy, thus enabling you to be stronger and quicker in the final 10km (which as you know best, is where all marathon’s are won or lost). You set an incredibly fast pace for all top runners to follow (benefiting from your draft), which unfortunately was to your detriment on this day. Nonetheless, a brilliant effort, all things considered! Your presence gave the race an additional level of excitement!

I don't know why people are saying his performance this year was a failure. He is the man who did the unattainable, surely he too can't do it all the time. That is why he is called GOAT. His humility speaks volumes about the man and athlete he is. He is the greatest one for me just for his attitude. What amount of pressure he must have before the Marathon to perform and to do this under those circumstances is a win. Go on Eliud. Just keep doing what you want to do with that stellar attitude of yours and you will set a benchmark for others no matter how you perform. He is a human not a machine.
