This is such great advice and triggers so many ideas for jokes! I did another open mic tonight and it was the best one ever, I was buzzing, till I realised I'd not changed my phone from photo to video so instead of recording it I just got a photo of my thumb and didn't get a video to analyse! I'm still buzzing about the fact that it was my first gig where I didn't feck a single punchline up and all of the jokes landed and got lots of laughs, apart from the one about doing a gig in Coventry where I had bombed but I think I got it back a little bit by asking 'Too soon?' I was sick with nerves right beforehand but it was a great night! Thanks again for your great advice and inspiration and motivation!

I Can confirm "stage presence" tips. Context: I've Performed 5 times now. 1st 2nd and 4th I killed. 3rd and 5th I deviated too far from the basics that I learned in this channel (plus subject matter..). My GF watches me when I perform and confirmed that my "scanning" and desperate attempt to refrain from pacing was convincing and it did distract me from nerves that I was 100% feeling. Where I performed, with the lights you can't see past the front row, but the "look above" tip works when I scan the visible front row. Edit: Can also confirm the "joke about the room" section. Early on during my first set I did a joke that ended with "makes me sound like a prostitue".. since The entrance to the venue (although nice) was a bit of a "hole-in-the-wall" and The room was dark with a stage lit with red.. I said "Atleast fit right in with place"... In the top 3 biggest laughs of the set and it definately felt like it brought the audience on side. -- I must warn however that my 3 following jokes about the room were the only ones in that failed... more of a reflection on the jokes than the advice though.

Another trick for not being able to look people in the eyes is, if you wear glasses or contacts, don’t wear them. I did that and I was able to look at a mass of blurry faces while appearing to be confident.

Thanks for commenting. I am planning more videos in the future. Just moved to Spain and there's quite alot to be done before I can commit to the channel again. But it will happen...HOWEVER!!! You don't need more videos. Get onstage and have a good time, you'll learn more doing that than this channel will ever give you. Have fun with it.

I think everyone at work hates me… at first I thought it was just my imagination, it started with small things, my lunch went missing, the wheels on my computer chair had been taken off, I didn’t even think that was possible. Then it started to intensify, one day they ordered 20 pizzas in my name, and I had to pay for them, I don’t even like pizza. They would call my work cubical phone and act like customers who want to complain on me. Leave sticky notes on the break room fridge saying… Hey Frank jump off a cliff… we live in a flat state dumb a$$ we have no cliffs… Finally I couldnt take it anymore so I went to the boss… and I said Mom no one likes me!! Totally got lost with this but I like the sarcasm I’m presenting
@LetsTalkComedy11 ай бұрын
Thanks for commenting. It's good, but there's not really much sarcasm in it. It's more just informative. It's like most of your other jokes. Needs to be shorter and more punchlines.

I just got out of a relationship. It lasted for about 10 years on and off. We had some really good times. We had some really bad times… we break up and we get back together… and every time we got back together ….it was like the first time all over again… absolutely Amazing!!!! but I finally had to call it quits. The relationship started interfering with the rest of my life. Because we would have a lot of fun..maybe to much fun … I started showing up to work late and we would stay up all night listening to music or binge watching family guy… but it was to much I was wanting to be with her all the time … so I had to put my foot down and I made a promise that day that I would never date Mary Jane again!!

You ever hear someone talking about how sh!tty there job is? Well my job is really Sh!tty!! It’s actually literally sh!tty because I work in sanitation! Do you guys know anyone who works in kitchen or restaurant and how being around food all day you start to smell like food! I would love that job right now!!nothing is worse then smelling like sh!t, I have literally lost multiple girlfriends based off my smell…and you can’t cover it up, I tried believe me I tried, but that smell just doesn’t scrub off! I walked around for 3 days wearing those car fragrance things that look like tress that you put on your review mirror… I wore them like a necklace for days!! I literally looked like the worse homeless rapper. Just came up with this definitely can do better but not a bad start and shows the narrative I’m trying to convey

Nice. There could be a drinking game, everytime you say the word shit they have to do a shot. That'd make for a fun video to send promoters. Wouldn't get you booked, but would annoy them. And that's just as much fun.
