I've been observing Indian as well as TN politics for the past 6-7 years and I've seen many political journalists and interviews Mr Gabriel sounds so professional and his questions are sensible and unbiased even he has great insights about the question he raised to the guest he remains silent and allow them to complete what they wanted to convey. I definitely learnt a lot from his interviews with Mr Mani and others, thanks a lot for giving such a quality content which tamil media lags today

Gabriel anna, time eruntha common people oda point of view share pannunga. Lex fridman pola, podcast kinda conversations with people from all walks of life. We often assume public point of view from people who are from public spaces. I believe, there is a silent majority who like me dislikes every political parties and their idealogies. Our voices are often left unheard. Every political interview about corruption or change in the society is always portrayed as a lost cause or takes time. People are surviving in tamilnadu but surviving isnt living. We are given breadcrumbs and shown illusion of choice but when are we going to get our loaf of bread and our decisions would get respected. Anyway, super video anna. Hope to see more of it.

Very diplomatic interview. Both have performed well with their oratory genius and the entire episode was interesting. But one thing is evident that both have used the portal to reflect their undue hatred on MGR. Having quoted Jayakanthan's trash of a novel Cinimavukku pona sithalu is most unbecoming. That novel might have interested MGR haters but didnot have the least effect on MGR's popularity and on the contrary it went to the peak after that, that he became the unmatched leader of the people.

I started watching the interview with lot of expectation but at the end I felt this could have been a far better interview particularly when interviewing someone like Mani, the fall was also not established properly, in fact she was a CM at the end, so we can't term it as fall. The rise was also not defined properly because facts like how she became the opposition leader, how she won the 91 elections weren't discussed, and at many places the discussions were prolonged much about MGR and Kalignar in an interview based on Jayalithaa, even Mani mentioned that at one point that this interview isn't about MGR. The interview starts with the question of the assembly incident but that was also not discussed in the interview. I had to mention this because I watched the entire 1 hour plus interview, and I have seen other very good interviews done by Gabriel

She had full support of Upper caste Medias and Judges. Negative propaganda on Karunanidhi. That is the only reason for her victory after making so many blunders and scams. One of the Great examples is Chennai Floods. If Chennai floods would have happened during DMK regime, the media reaction would be different. Same in the case of Sankarachariyar arrest. Lot of fake Ganja cases against her enemies during her regime. Attack on chandraleka, TN seshan, etc....

Such an observation reveals the prejudice the speaker has against her. The sarcastic laugh of the speaker while saying that Ms.Jayalalitha used to write well clearly reveals his mindset. It would be better if the speaker removes his sarcastic expressions while speaking about the mass leader. Giving interview in a public forum this journalist should maintain a dignified posture sans the stupidly sarcastic smile.

MGR brought JJ to politics hoping that she would be helpful to propogate his party. But she expected that MGR would openly announce her as his successor. She had her own team after his illness and tried to become the CM with centre s backing. 2. Mani sir, Do you not agree MGR as vallal ?. Then you are an ignorant and I doubt your truthfulness. 3. If JK ,a congressman s story degrades MGR, another story will praise him. truth is important. Mani is also a biased journalist. Has some grudge on MGR. Mani Sir is unbiased. The interviewer is clearly biased. He tries to talk over clear male chauvinistic points raised by Mani Sir. Recent discussion by eyewitnesses of the harassment faced by her in the Assembly is a good example of it.

good interview. but incomplete without 'sasikala'. sasikala was the third person who ruined jayalaitha s life. and jayalalitha did not know the problems of the poor (mani sir said she knew) as karunanidhi and mgr knew. she was numb to the public opinion and built the kodanadu castle. her books only helped to delink her from the public and made her to live in her own world. such a 'sharp' lady.. why allowed sasikala in her life to that extent and why swindled public money..
