I grew up in smalltown Beaverton on the shores of Lake Simcoe and totally identify with many of the Letterkenny characters. We'd have an odd hybrid mix of rural farm folk, hockey players and Toronto cottagers. But I grew up gettin' drunk at farm parties, ice fishin', attending hockey boosters at the arena...and hell, we had a drive-in theatre just outside of town that was the pro-drinking venue for everyone...especially the all-nighters on long weekends. Letterkenny is like a nostalgic trip back to my youth. Thanks Jared and everyone for sharing your spot-on interpretation of us all.

Born and raised in NY and I found out about this show recently from a friend. From the opening scene of the pilot I was hooked, man. The writing is so articulate and extensive, I've never seen a show use a specific area's dialect so well. When he said the small town stuff applied to small-town Wisconsin I actually punched the air and yelled, “Yes! Exactly!” Because I’m from a small town in Wisconsin (in case that wasn’t obvious), and I identified with and loved Letterkenny 30 seconds into the first episode. Plus we pronounce “about” the same way. I’m looking forward to the future when we get annexed by Canada, but it’s imperative that that bit of Michigan that was obviously meant to be in Wisconsin gets annexed as well. Great show. Amazing.
