Every time I saw a shooting star or it was 11:11 I wished for Happiness and now I have it. Buddhism gives me such an amazing feeling. I've been leaving in fear all my life, scared of everything, worried about my appearance, scared to lose. I'm letting go of those fears, I recently found Buddhism due to reading about how Tina turner used it to overcome abusive partner and Life is better. I'm happy, I'm free, I'm alive !

Many years ago I had some debts and could not see how I would pay them. I became very stressed out for a whole winter--my quality of life was diminished. Then in the spring some unexpected income came my way, and all was well. I realized that all my stress had been totally unnecessary--worrying about something that was never going to happen. I made a firm resolve to stop worrying about things that might happen, but very often do not--It was one of the best things I ever did.

Ajahn Brahm and the team. Your talk has direct benefits in both practical and personal development. As a father, I have advised my son to be brave and be fearless when I am not. It is so unfair. Sometimes, feeling like bully. He is 5 years old. Now together, we try to be brave and fearless. Even when he is not, I understand and accept his personal pace of development. At work, I am supposed to conduct a workshop for the whole crews (about 100 workers), I find strength in your talk. I am ready.

sadhu sadhu sadhu I find these notions helpful in my practice: When fear persisted, we knew it for what it was, and we became able to handle it. We began to see each adversity as a karmic opportunity to develop the kind of courage which is born of humility, rather than of bravado. Prudence is a workable middle ground, a channel of clear sailing between the obstacles of fear on the one side and of recklessness on the other. Prudence in practice creates a definite climate, the only climate in which harmony, effectiveness, and consistent spiritual progress can be achieved. Prudence is rational concern without worry. As a person who suffers from obsessive thoughts rooted in anxiety, I believe this talk is of no use to me, as I cannot control my thoughts. Fear manages me for most of the day, unforunately, and this saying only makes the fear feel more real and pressing.

Practice forgiveness meditation. ❤ The reason you feel worse is because you grasp or being grasped by the feeling of fear and the fear itself tightly, anything related to it only press it harder. You need something that you I'll allow you not to think about it at all. I forgive myself and I forgive you. 30 minutes a day sitting and forgive whatever happens during daily life , inside and outside. You will feel better

Thank you, very insightful speech..I totally recognize myself - a planner and a control freak...covering all possibilities in my mind just in case. To go with a flow would be such a liberating thing, working on that. Letting go of fear.. working of that. Love your wisdom.

I am not afraid of making mistakes because I know its all a learning experience and we all do make them. But what I find aggravating is the judgement of others that can cause people to be afraid to try something they are not sure of. Even tho' I know we all make mistakes and I try to pass no judgement. Others that do make judgement about our mistakes are people who use it to make themselves feel better, while ignoring and denying their own mistakes. To that I say.. I don't care if you judge me, just be sure to honestly look at yourself in the meanwhile.
@lesliepeace Жыл бұрын
